“Ariana greeted us at the table with smiles and love. She helped us with the menu & the specials & gave us impeccable service. The food was on point & top notch. 5 stars to Ariana & The Corner.”
“We had a great dinner at The Corner in Bay Ridge! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the service was outstanding. Max was a wonderful waiter, and the entire staff worked together seamlessly. Everyone checked on guests and made sure every table was taken care of. A special shout-out to Nicholas, who was constantly on the move all night. He was clearing tables, helping behind the bar, checking on guests, and even went out in the rain to bring in the outdoor cushions. His hard work did not go unnoticed. We started with the cold antipasto, which had a great assortment of Italian cheeses and meats, including burrata, Parmesan, and provolone. I had the gumbo, my husband had the Brooklyn Bear sandwich, and both were delicious. The highlight of the meal was definitely the baklava donuts with pistachio ice cream. Absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back.”
“The name speaks for itself. The Corner has a beautiful glassed out spot that offers indoor and outdoor door seating. It’s recommended to make a reservation because they are always busy and the place get packed very quickly, especially on the weekend. A full bar with seats and there’s 2 other option on where you can be seated. The Chef table choice means you will be sitting at the front row seat, staring at the kitchen, watching the chefs make their unique dishes. If you pick the dining room, then you’re sitting at a regular table. There is special dishes that are not on the menu. We had the great pleasure of being served by Ariana. Even though the place was very busy she was at our table many times making sure we were being taken care of and offered us excellent service.”
“The food matches the service and for sure the food is stellar. Their cocktails are also perfect. I got their version of a whiskey sour, the Black Kettle Sour, which was so good I had to stop myself from chugging it. Their French onion soup was stacked with melty cheese and onion. I ordered the beef bourguignon pot pie which was so tasty. I will say the onion soup filled me up quickly with all the cheese so I had to take my time with the beef. Dessert was the wonderfully light pear panna cotta with oat crumble. Others in my party had the pork, burger, steak frites, and rigatoni plus soufflé and doughnuts. No complaints anywhere. Is the price point higher than average neighboring places? Yes - but it’s a thousand times worth it. This is a must go for sure! The service was incredibly attentive. Water was always filled, table was kept clean, and the nicest people everywhere. I look forward to my next meal here!”
“Before I go into my critiques, I will say the front of house service was warm and friendly. Thank you Jonathan and nicole for being so kind to us and trying to making things right. That being said: Kitchen service today was extremely disappointing. We were sat promptly with no wait and had our orders taken quickly. As time passed, many patrons were also seated, had their orders taken, and had their food served within 15 to 20 minutes. Our main dishes were served over an hour after we made our order. Both me and my fiance were left starving as this was our first meal of the day. I ordered the special of the day, the French omlette with sliced ribeye roast and caremlized onions. Please reference the photo I uploaded. This is a TERRIBLE attempt at a French omlette. The eggs were curdled and the texture was of cooked fish roe. I was told the steak was thin sliced and grilled but the grey, sad slivers of steak did not convince me otherwise. The fries that came with it were also inconsistent as some were hard and overcooked, and some were just okay. I cannot put into words how disappointed I felt after leaving the corner as my confidence in the kitchen has fallen a lot. If a dish is cooked poorly, why bother serving it? I would've felt in peace if they told me that they can't serve the dish because of some issue. Please improve upon this dish or don't bother serving it again.”
