The Four Horsemen

“We had a reservation for 6 but showed up with 7. After speaking with the chef on a packed Friday, they were able to accommodate. I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this restaurant. The food, service, wine list, ambiance, and creativity is out of this world. Much like a small kitchen 2/3 star Michelin that pushes to innovate their dishes. What amazed me the most out of the entire from the set course menu was that they were able to take something that I’ve never enjoyed (tofu) and turn it into the highlight of my night with the noodles shaped tofu skin dish. And the fresh bread with butter/creme fraische and caviar, was one of the best things to ever enter my mouth (see picture). It is definitely worth to spend time exploring the wine list and speaking with the servers to see what is the best option that you will enjoy the most within your price range. I would like to say this is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC and though it was a bit out out of my price range, it is worth the visit and to come back to try a new menu.”

“Lady luck visited on my bday this year in the form of amazing Philly friends organizing this magnificent gathering. The natural wines, started with Moritz Kissinger Brut nature, and followed with 5 or 6 bottles more of wines matched to the menu. Super impressive, palate expanding flavors. The kitchen is brilliant. Highlighting the spring season with intriguing fresh green dishes was masterful. The hospitality was fantastic, "warm house bread" was too.”

“Outstanding Michelin starred restaurant. Great service and even better food. Recommend getting there at 4:45 if you’re trying to make the waiting list for the bar. That should put you in the top five people if you are trying to get in at open. I went on a very nice day. 75° out and it’s like the first or second true spring day in Brooklyn. So maybe more people were trying to get out and we were willing to stay online. But that’s the time I would stay online for. I had the fried spearing which was unique and great. I prefer to try things that I can’t make it home or I’ve never had. So that’s why I chose that. I also had the ibérico pork collar with roasted cabbage, madeira. The pork was absolutely stellar.”

“My husband and I came here on a Friday for brunch and we were served by Monet. It was our first time here and she guided us on the right amount of food to typically have to benefit our hunger. She did inform us that the plates had small portions so 4 different plates would be ideal. We got 5 since Monet saw that we were missing some veggies and I am very happy with the choices we made. Bluefin tuna + gnocco fritto, sea scallop + leek custard, winter chicories, soft-boiled egg + blue crab, ibérico pork collar, and a wonderful maple syrup sesame custard for dessert. The food was so fresh like eating from a garden or fresh farm. There was a lot of citruis flavors in the dishes and a lot of cheese or custard but it went very well. Though the plates were small we were both full and very much satisfied with almost every dish. I was not a big fan of the pork collar to fatty for my taste but my husband liked it. The dessert was so creamy and the combination of sesame and maple was absolutely amazing. We ended the day with dessert and tea and we were grateful for the experience. We would definitely love to come back hopefully to experience dinner.”

“Bravo. I’ve determined that this would officially be my last meal. Everything was perfect. The restaurant itself is super cosy. The service was excellent, relaxed. The food was interesting and flavourful. We tried a number of fun wines that paired well our food. My only complaint is how hard it was to get a reservation 😆”
