THE GOOD GOOD is a warm and inviting cocktail bar and bistro brought to you by restauranteurs Juliet and Justine Masters (owners of The Edge Harlem) and their long-time friend, Lesly Bernard, of Tillman’s and Clementine fame.
“Finally got to here after hearing about this place for a long time. It is well known by many that their biscuits are impressive with the layering, the moistness, and the pop on top from the crunch. To that I would add that their omelette and home fries both have extra pop. They do not hold back on accentuating the tastes of the spices, which makes the ingredients even tastier. Highly recommend, will go back to report on future menu items.”
“Brunch yesterday at The Good Good was an absolute win. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt warm and effortlessly cool, the decor and lighting really set the perfect mood for a weekend meal. I highly recommend the steak and eggs; the steak was cooked perfectly, and those crispy onion rings on top were a game-changer, especially paired with the chimichurri. The side of creamy, chive-topped grits was the ultimate comfort food. We also had the chicken sandwich, which was massive, crispy, and delicious. We were there celebrating my birthday, and the service was impeccable, they even brought out a dessert with a candle to help mark the occasion. For the price point ($30–40 per person), you’re getting serious quality. Everything from the food to the hospitality was a solid 5 stars. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Went here for the first time on a post valentines date. Really surprised by the amount of intentional cuisine there. The service was pretty good I forgot our servers name but he was laid back and kind. I took his recs and they were perfect. the bartender made great drinks also for I got the house sour. The fried chicken was a a good 8.7/10 I would get again but would have enjoyed more breading. The cod fish fritters was at 10/10 no question along with the Brussels. Probably wouldn’t get the plantains again just liked them more ripe (personal preference). I enjoyed the jerked mushrooms too. Definitely coming back.”
“We visited this place for Valentine’s Day and had a fantastic time! The atmosphere is lovely and very soul-warming. While the seating is a bit snug, it actually adds to the overall cozy vibe. The interior is fascinating to look at with so many cool details—especially the massive, stylish arrangements of budding branches and dried flowers. They really set a unique mood. Plus, they have a cloakroom (coat check) and the background music was spot on. Food-wise: I had the burger and my wife had the salmon with egg. Both dishes were prepared perfectly and were absolutely delicious. The prices are very reasonable for this level of quality. A huge shoutout to the staff—the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive, keeping an eye on everything without being intrusive. We’ll definitely be back!”
“The vibe at The Good Good was the best part of the experience. The lighting is great, and the space feels cozy, intimate, and welcoming. The entire staff was warm and friendly, and our waitress was beautiful, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service from start to finish. The coffee mocktail was also delicious and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the atmosphere or the price point. Several items arrived soggy. The fish was overcooked, which was especially disappointing. The cod fritters were beautifully crispy on the outside, but far too thick and doughy on the inside. The plantains had great seasoning, but they were limp, greasy, and soggy instead of properly fried. Overall, the meal felt heavy and poorly executed. That said, the service and ambiance were strong enough that they make me want to return, if only to sample something more promising from someone else’s plate first. Still, I would not feel comfortable spending this kind of money again just to chance another bad meal. A lovely setting and excellent staff, I would return for drinks or dessert”
