Good Food on Montford

“We love Good food on montford! Always a delightful place when we come into town! Wanted to give Ryan some praise tonight. He helped us pair wine and dishes together and served us very well. He is very knowledgeable and sold us well on the catch of the day which was cooked very well. The crust on the grouper was phenomenal and paired well with our wine. We always enjoy trying new dishes but visiting old dishes too. Good food is a staple for us anytime we are in Charlotte!!! Thank you!!!”

“Went with my fiancee and everything was excellent! The wait staff were on top of their game, the inside dining area ambiance was lovely, and the food was all around delicious. It was clear that the ingredients were very fresh and healthy. Must-orders include the shrimp and grits (though my fiancee notes that could’ve used more flavor) and the falafel (best I’ve ever had). Would order the mushrooms and cacio e pepe together, if you get either, as they go very well together. Would just note that some of the dishes definitely could’ve used stronger flavors!”

“Treated my partner to a birthday dinner at Good Food, and it was perfect. We took advantage of the pleasant weather and enjoyed our meal on the patio. The service here is high quality without being stuffy and runs like a well oiled machine - water glass was never empty, finished dishes were promptly removed, courses well timed. Our server, Aaron, was wonderful and even made sure the dessert came out with a birthday candle. But, let's not forget the rest of the food.. For two of us we split a snack, two small plates, one large plate, and dessert. Every dish was so delicious I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. - prosciutto and burrata - tuna carpaccio - catch of the day (grouper etoufee) - trout - chocolate pie Based off our meal, it doesn't seem like you can go wrong here. There's a reason why it's a long standing CLT favorite.”

“Very nice atmosphere. The food was amazing. The roasted mushrooms were absolutely delicious! The Korean beef was very flavorful. The mussels were so good we got two dishes of them. Great date night place. Hats off to the chefs. Oh and the banana cake was super yummy. Just wished it was bigger. We got it to go and it didn't make it home.”

“I’d give this spot a solid 7/10. Nothing we had was bad, but nothing really stood out as amazing either. It’s the kind of place you enjoy while you’re there, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of your way to recommend first. For drinks, I had the strawberry basil smash, which was refreshing and well-balanced, though not especially memorable. Food-wise, we shared a variety of dishes: the Larry buns, falafel, mussels, Korean beef, and a tuna dish. Everything was enjoyable and well-prepared. The atmosphere is on the smaller side, which made things feel a bit cramped, and the tables weren’t the most comfortable. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s definitely something you notice while dining.”
