“We love supporting local and Tall John’s exceeded our expectations! We were in town celebrating our son’s engagement who lives local and gave us this recommendation. The atmosphere was super chic and cozy, staff were very welcoming and accommodated our gluten free guest and gave a superb overview of the menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! From Drinks, Salads and tartare to our chicken, duck, pork chop, fish (pictured below) and yummy cream puffs and cheesecake to top it all off! We will definitely be back, thank you!”

“If I could give Tall John’s ten stars, or a Michelin star, I would. We drove an hour and a half for an 8:30pm reservation and from the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. We waited maybe five minutes before two of the kindest, most accommodating employees welcomed us and offered to grab us cocktails while we soaked in the beautiful atmosphere. It set the tone immediately. Warm, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. Then came the food. Oysters. Chicken. And the best braised beef short rib we have ever tasted in our lives. Every bite felt intentional and elevated without being pretentious. Our waitress, Victoria, absolutely made the night unforgettable! Her recommendations were spot on, her warmth was effortless, and her smile made it feel like we were dining with friends. The service was impeccable in a way that feels rare these days — attentive without hovering, thoughtful without being scripted. We almost skipped dessert… and thank goodness we didn’t. Victoria encourages us to luxuriate and try the cream puffs and I am not exaggerating when I say I would request those for the rest of my life. Unreal! What truly stood out wasn’t just the incredible food, but the people. From the hostess to the chef to the back of house, every single person went above and beyond to make our first visit memorable. They even kept the restaurant open while we lingered over the last of our meal, and we left feeling so special and so cared for. We drove home beaming and already planning our next trip back. “Tall John's invites walk-in customers to join them in either bar or kitchen seating. Our wait was short and we chose stools at the kitchen bar and were very satisfied with the ambience. Watching the chefs make the magic happen was so much fun and the food was fantastic. If you are looking for a creative gin cocktail you must try Tall John's version of a Crop Top... fabulous. We shared a cheeseburger/fries and the Bavette steak with creamed spinach and topped it off with one of the best deserts I've had in a long time... their Bruleed Bread Pudding. The service, ambiance and food were fantastic. We've visited prior restaurants at this location and believe Head Chef/Owner Trevor Payne has created the very best layout and ambiance. After our first visit Tall John's we have added it to our short list of favorite places for a date night dinner. I highly recommend Tall John's to anyone looking for an amazing experience.”

“Tall John’s is super quaint and incredibly cute—the kind of place that feels special the moment you walk in. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from a very friendly, welcoming staff. Jacob was phenomenal—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience even better. The Perisian gnocchi was good, but the roasted winter squash absolutely stole the show—it was amazing. Perfect balance of flavors, a beautiful mix of spices, and very generous portions. Everything felt thoughtful and well executed. I will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more options on the menu. This place is a true gem—cozy atmosphere, great service, and food that clearly has heart behind it.”
