“My daughter and I came here for happy hour and some light eats. It's a classic old tavern, busy at this time of day because it's great!! Fresh oysters, delicious generous charcuterie board (choose your own meats and cheeses) Mac and cheese is very yummy. Waitstaff is busy but friendly and knowledgeable about the extensive menu choices, including the wine list.”

“Crowded on the weekend, we walked in around 1630. Food was okay, happy hour portions are tiny as their happy hour oysters. Vibe was great, service was great and attentive.”

“Lovely happy hour. It’s on weekends too which is a plus! $1 oyster, a bit sandy and not shucked well for some of them but for the price that’s fine. Highlight was actually the steak tartare! Would happily come back for HH:)”

“I haven't been to this location since pre-COVID so I thought I'd relive my 2018 pre-dinner fantasy. The oysters were standard, the tapas were just as fine but the service was lacklustre. I ordered a Georgian skin-contact and the server slung the glass on the table and left in a hurry. Never presented a bottle, never offered a tasting, never even asked me if I enjoyed the wine. What bothered me most was that I watched every other table get full wine presentations and be attended to carefully. I left feeling like my patronage wasn't valued. As someone with a degree of wine knowledge, I appreciate a biodynamic georgian orange wine with a lil funky petrichor as much as the others but I'll probably never make a solo trip back here for wine. If you're an nyc transplant, in your 20s, and looking for a cheap happy hour with oysters, you'll be in heaven.”

“Came here today for oysters and some light bites. Food was good and the vibe was great once I got seated. The arrival process was confusing. I asked if they took Apple Pay and was told yes, but no one explained it was first come, first served, so I ended up standing around waiting to be seated. When someone finally spoke to me, I was told to sit anywhere, but the only open seat was dirty until another staff member cleaned it. Food took a while to come out, so this seems more like a place to hang out and drink than grab a quick bite, I realized when I got home that I had been overcharged by about $20 and didn’t notice until after I’d already paid and tipped. That definitely put a damper on the experience.””
