In October 2014, partners Victoria Freeman, Marc Meyer and Chris Paraskevaides (Cookshop, Shuka, Rosie's) introduced diners to Vic's on Great Jones Street in NoHo. Vic's resides in the re-imagined former space of Five Points, the Mediterranean restaurant that Freeman, Meyer and Paraskevaides opened together in 1999. After 15 years, the restaurateurs decided to renovate the restaurant and the result — Vic's — is an entirely new establishment. Vic's features locally sourced Italian-Mediterranean dishes, including house made pastas and pizzas (made with New York State flour) and market-driven plates.
“Vic’s is, without question, our favorite and most consistently outstanding restaurant in NYC—which is saying something, considering we dine there at least once a week. The cocktails are exceptional: expertly crafted, generously poured, and very reasonably priced. The food is always spectacular—super fresh, incredibly flavorful, and of consistently high quality. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort; sophisticated without ever feeling pretentious. The service is truly top-notch. We’re always treated like family, but what impresses me most is that it’s not just us. The management and assistant managers make a point of checking on guests throughout the dining room, creating a warm and welcoming experience for everyone. It’s a wonderful touch that sets Vic’s apart. On our most recent visit, we arrived without a reservation and were graciously accommodated by the lovely hostess, Isabell. I was genuinely amazed when she greeted me by name as we approached the host stand. That level of attentiveness and hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of the restaurant. Outstanding food, amazing cocktails, impeccable service, and genuine hospitality—Vic’s continues to exceed expectations every single time.”
“Had a big meal, three appies and 2 pastas and chicken Milanese. Loved everything. The tiramisu was amazing. The wine in the pic was terrific. Great service and vibe. It’s noisy though.”
“Beautiful place! You can walk in and you’ll get a table. Special Gratitude to Anna Marie - the owner! She is very nice and friendly! We ordered Ravioli with mushrooms, roasted chicken and sweet onions chips- DELICIOUS! Highly recommend this place!”
“Delicious! So much thoughtfulness applied in marrying the flavors. It warmly invites the palate to partake in a nurturing and transformative experience. Mia, our host, provided a delightful visit for us, with many star suggestions that agreed with the vibe we were going for. Must be enjoyed with good company... it makes a difference. Dine with love and appreciation.”
“Fantastic Italian restaurant in NoHo! Came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. Booked a reservation a week out for 7p. The food was fantastic, service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. We liked how the restaurant was quite roomy so it wasn’t like you were sitting super close to the people next to you. The service was amazing and we were lucky to have a very attentive waitress. We really loved the food and the chefs do a phenomenal job. Calamari was perfect. Crispy tender with a unique sauce underneath. The chicken was also really good and paired well with the broccolini and potatoes. The lasagna was stand out. To end, the rainbow cookies gelato and tiramisu were both great.”
