“Wow!! Amazing service, fantastic food and great vibes! Sat at the bar and had the best time. The bartender was the best. Salsas are delicious and the lemon filled donut was insane 😋 Our biscuit came out raw, waiter noticed before I could say something, took it back to kitchen and brought us a new one. And did not charge us for that!! I really really appreciated the fantastic service from host, bartender and food runners. I will be back!!”
“Fun place that has a lot of buzz as a classic Tex Mex place in NYC. It’s really good. Loved the hot sauces, the chips and avocado dip. Tacos are really good too.”
“Three stars only because the service was very good. 1.5 stars for the food. We started with nachos. I liked the cheese sauce, but for my friend, it was meh because the sauce was a bit watery/runny. The flavors were good though. For the entrees: The chicken mole was absolutely horrible. The balance of flavors was off-putting. And the plate arrived very hot (we were warned not to touch) as if it had been microwaved. The meat in the beef tacos wasn’t well-seasoned, and it wasn’t served with a sauce or salsa that would’ve helped to enhance the flavors. The room: We were struggling to have a conversation because the acoustics in the restaurant were so horrible. Service: However, our server was very very nice. Overall, we left quite disappointed and will not return.”
“Had the queso, bean, potato, and tofu tacos and while all the food came out looking great, I think I just wasn’t a fan of the seasonings that they use here as I’m usually a big fan of Tex-Mex. Everything ended up leaving me with the same aftertaste. I think some more veg in the soft tacos probably would’ve helped with that, and helped highlight how tasty their homemade tortillas are.”
“I came here on a dry and cool Sunday night in late November for dinner at 730pm. I made the reservation a few days before based on the next available prime dinner time. Res era actions during peak dinner are not to easy to get given that it has a Michelin Bibb recommendation. I wouldn’t plan to come here without a reservation as walk-ins might give you a long wait for the bar at best. I am from Texas originally so I was really excited to sit down for dinner here. Good Tex Mex cuisine is hard to come by in Manhattan. I’ve had the breakfast tacos before which were fine. The restaurant has a cool texas dive restaurant. The menu is broad and features a lot of TexMex favorites. I enjoyed my cheese enchiladas but other items like the Arancini were not cooked well. The frozen margarita was good and they have a frozen margarita machine. While I enjoyed some aspects of this restaurant, there are other places like Cowgirl Hall of Fame I’d recommend before this restaurant. I wouldn’t seek out another meal at this restaurant, but I wouldn’t protest if someone else wanted to go.”
