The Village Italian Restaurant

“Six of us had lunch at The Village today to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, I had a mushroom pizza that was great, enough to take some home. Lovely service, we brought our own cake, they cut and served. I felt it was good value for the serving sizes and price. Will absolutely be coming back‼️”

“After my latest lunch at The Village it is my favorite Novato restaurant. They have a new lunch sandwich menu. I had the “SKIRT STEAK SANDWICH- $23.99” which has a ciabatta bun, horseradish, truffle aioli, arugula (greens so you won’t feel guilty), pepper Jack cheese and chimichurri sauce. Served with French fries (a Lil Sumpin’ is a pairing). It would have been perfect if they got the ciabatta from the same place as the guys down the street (Blue Barn). The skirt steak had great flavor but was a bit tough to bite through. My modest proposal: use thinly sliced ribeye. But what do I know? I cut my teeth on Pat’s Steaks in Philadelphia.”

“Consistent. The food is tasty. When I am in a carb mood, linguini and clams with their signature side bread with a nice slab of butter hits the spot. The large pizzas are attractive and oozing with cheese and flavor. A great restaurant that has raised the bar in Novato.”

“I went here for lunch the other day it was delicious! I ordered the meatball and sausage sandwich for lunch with a side of fries. The first time, my sandwich came out cold in the middle. I informed the waitress and she promptly took the food back and apologized. A few minutes later, my food came out, hot this time, and it was excellent. The bread was nice and crunchy, the meatball, sausage, and marinara all went so well together. Plus, the melted cheese!! I will be going back and ordering it again. The French fries were super crunchy and hot, 10 out of 10 French fry. The service was excellent despite my sandwich being cold the first time and they even gave me a discount on the price. That is what I call excellent customer service. I will definitely be going back and trying the other items on the menu, this is a place you gotta try.”

“I visited this Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown, and the location was both convenient and welcoming. My group of four arrived without a reservation, but we were seated quickly and without any wait. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Creamy Pesto Alfredo, garlic breadsticks, and a Juicy Breeze cocktail. While the cranberry flavor in the Juicy Breeze was a bit too strong for my liking, I absolutely loved the made-to-order Creamy Pesto Alfredo and the soft, fluffy garlic breadsticks. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu, which had a robust coffee flavor that didn't quite suit my taste, but it may appeal to others. Overall, a pleasant experience with great service and tasty dishes!”
