1929 Pizza and Wine

“My gf and I went to 1929 Pizza and Wine on a Friday night, and we were not disappointed. The pizza was fantastic and the salad was very good. A group next to us had the malerinated olives and they looked really good also. The place doubles as a coffee/pastry shop in the AM, but when we got our bill they also brought us complementary pastries to take home, which were excellent. I booked last minute reservations and got a high top table, which was fine. I would check ahead for openings before just showing up on a weekend. Bw forewarned, it is a little pricey. $20+ for or a neopolitan pizza and $12+ for a salad, but the food was very good! I will go back sometime.”

“The place was gorgeous. We had the Italian beef pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The raspberry chocolate cannoki was amazing. Waitress was great And attentive. Overall a must try and we will go again”

“We found ourselves unexpectedly near Edwardsville today so naturally we looked for somewhere new to try for dinner. We saw 1929 and headed over for when they opened since we didn’t have reservations. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. Get some of the honey ricotta to use with the pizza crust! That was a secret tip she shared with us, so don’t tell! The dessert special, a cranberry orange bread pudding was crazy good too.”

“We love this place and I’ve left a pizza review before but wanted to leave another one for Valentine’s Day. We had a great evening and enjoyed all five courses and the wine pairing. I appreciated the fact that they reached out to me proactively via email to make me aware of their special menu and allow me the opportunity to reserve a table. They made it easy and we never usually bother to try and eat out on Valentine’s Day. Great food and a nice presentation. It was a great date night and were very appreciative. Thank you to the staff because we know they were hustling.”

“Overall good first experience this weekend. Service was good, maybe slightly understaffed with two folks working the entire place on a busy evening. Wedge salad was fantastic. Mushroom pizza was also marvelous. Sausage and pepper pizza complemented each other well! Only complaint was when paying $25 per pizza, it shouldnt be this bad. I realize it’s part of the cooking style but we both made comment of it really took the flavor of the pizza away. For the prices, was a tad disappointed.”
