The Front Yard

“Went to The Front Yard last night and it was very good. Haven't been here since the new owner took over and wish we had gone sooner. Walking in, we saw a cosmo being served at the outdoor bar and knew we had to have one of those. We sat inside at the bar and got cosmos in a large martini glass, filled to the rim and delicious. Bartender was awesome, she had a great personality, friendly and a real pro. She took our order and brought us some focaccia bread that was warm and more dense than usual, but, still soft ...with olive oil drizzled on it. Nice. I got Lobster and Shrimp Alla Vodka (Sautéed Maine Lobster, jumbo shrimp served with pappardelle pasta in alla vodka sauce) it was excellent. Pasta nice and soft, the way I like it, with large shrimp and pieces of lobster, just a great dish. My wife got Seafood risotto alla Milanese (Fresh ME lobster meat, jumbo shrimp and scallops in Saffron Creamy risotto) it was also super tasty and savory with lots of seafood in it. My wife got a follow up drink ...white sangria that came out in a beautiful very large glass. We were very happy with our decision to go here and will definitely be back. Also, met the owner Charlie, who came by to check on us...a very nice guy. Thank you for a wonderful meal and very positive experience.”

“This year has been the first time we have dined here and we have returned another 2 times since the first time! The food is delicious, cooked to perfection with a menu for seafood lovers, meat lovers and even vegetarians too. I think the most memorable dinner I have ever had was the rack of lamb which honestly was THE most amazing dish I think I have ever had! I don't know who the chef is but please don't ever let him or her go! Same goes for the wait staff...primarily Fiona...because not only does she show personal attention to us, she explained the menu to us when we had questions, her follow up is perfect timing and her welcoming personality shines! In our book, Fiona is one of the best! From the hostess to everyone who we have interacted with, they all have helped make our dining experience at The Front Yard a delicious and delightful experience every time! We love the location and the indoor/outdoor availability and then you add that patio bar...who ever wants to leave the place and have to go home!! And on-site parking to boot! Thank you Front Yard...so glad we found you!”

“We had an amazing meal tonight at The Front Yard! The steak tips are the best around and the salmon was delicious! Shannon, our waitress was the best. She was very professional, polite and attentive. The hosts who welcomed us were very nice and accommodating. This is one of the best meals we’ve had in Ogunquit. We will be back soon! If you’re looking for excellent food and service, go to The Front Yard!! The GF cake and the salted caramel cheesecake were out of this world!”

“What a terrific experience under the new ownership! We ordered the salmon and swordfish, and both were cooked perfectly — moist, tender, and full of flavor. Food can be cooked to meet special needs, such as less salt. As seafood lovers, we know how often restaurants overcook fish, so this really stood out. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Several staff members, including the owner, stopped by to make sure everything was perfect, which was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively, with a wonderful, spacious outdoor fire pit, bar area, and heated outdoor tables for cooler evenings. You can tell people genuinely enjoy gathering here. One small note: during peak hours the acoustics indoors can get a little noisy for those with hearing difficulties. But overall, this place is a real find and we will definitely be back!”

“Five stars all around. This meal was phenomenal. We got the seafood chowder, mushroom gorganzola flat bread, seafood risotto, rack of lamb, and lemon cake. Easily one of the best meals I have ever had. Our waiter Duke was very attentive. Thank you so much!”
