“Michelin Guide This place blew me away. I think people need to understand the culture and the different types of sushi there are before they can point out anything. Japan has different variations of the same thing (like sushi vs your pressed sushi which originated in Osaka and hard to find!!). Everything I had was absolutely amazing. I can see why their price point is the way it is. Yes, it’s expensive for most items but if you come here expecting a good price point you’re in the WRONG place to begin with. Walk in and understand you will be paying for quality food. They did everything the right way as far as cooking (like using charcoal grill for your Yakitori). The atmosphere completely reminded me of the small food shops in Japan. The vintage feel brought me back. The bar stools were absolutely the cutest things ever. This place is definitely unique on its own and you cannot expect it to be like other places for your comfort/personal preference they cannot meet. I felt just fine in the stools and on the benches. It’s important to understand every Japanese place has its own culture to it. Whether it’s modern, traditional, or just random! This goes along with how it’s managed as it will not be like other Japanese places based by what region they may be from and how they do things. This place was not set on status, it is set on passion, quality food, and for your enjoyment. Their Michelin guide plaque was literally in a crate heading to the door. Not displayed on the wall which I thought was special enough to recognize but humble enough for them to not hold too much pride over it. Based on my experience here tonight, I will most definitely be coming back here again. This is coming from a native San Diegan in California where food is our specialty! This fell into one of my top food places here in Orlando. The service was great and they really dedicated to our food considering we walked in an hour before closing (kitchen closes 10:30pm). Everyone was so kind and hard working.”

“Food and drinks were amazing! The kushiyaki and yakitori is so good. We tried the beef tongue and we were so pleasantly surprised by flavour and texture. We loved the pressed sushi too and the snack menu. We would definitely come back again.”

“Sat at the bar a few times and enjoyed my experience every time. Josh and Cam are great bartenders. I had the hatsu, beef tongue and hamachi crudo ( my favorite). Food and atmosphere is amazing. It feels like an authentic Japanese restaurant with elevated Japanese comfort food.”

“One of the best restaurants in Orlando! It is a favorite. Amazing and welcoming ambiance, delicious food, and authentic Japanese experience. The staff are so friendly and they greet you as you enter. We recommend trying different dishes and discover something new each visit! Must-order dishes: mentaiko udon, susuru gohan (with uni), yakitori (kawa & hatsu), kushiyaki (pork jowl & beef tongue), shoyu smoked duck, kong kaisen don, fish fish fish, and dry aged o-toro.”

“The food was okay. Some of the flavors don’t mesh at all and seem like they were just thrown together to be different, ie sashimi mixed with grainy apple and coconut milk in the fish fish bowl. While the quality of the fish was there, the synchrony of flavors just wasn’t. The worst part of this was the service. Our waiter barely checked on us and asked if we wanted to order something else. It also took forever to put an order in even tho we were seated faster than others and before those who put an order in. Our waiter also didn’t bother to tell us the any off menu specials. So we got to see other people get these extravagant, hearty delicious looking plates while we got stuck with the general items. Was very disappointing that we weren’t given that opportunity. The seats were uncomfortable bar stool. Typical restaurant trying to be unique but just r ally cutting corners at the customers expense. The only good thing was presentation and the plating. Would not come here again and waste my money.”
