Dressing came on the side, per my wife’s eternal crusade against overdressed leaves. She declared it “refreshing.” I declared it “not BBQ but shockingly enjoyable.” For our main, we split the Margherita Flatbread — San Marzano tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella arranged like edible artwork. Crispy crust, gooey cheese, and that sweet-tart tomato punch that made me briefly close my eyes like I was in a Mediterranean film montage. No extra toppings. No meat. And yet… it was perfect. “We enjoyed a delicious bowl of polenta on a cold rainy day. For appetizers I had one of their selection of Fancy Toasts. It was the best appetizer I've tasted this year and possibly in the entire last year. The staff were impressive and four of them, at different times, checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our lunch. The hostess actually checked in twice. Highly recommended.”
