“Incredible dining experience! Passionate servers - world class Michelin quality food - pre-fixe menu - still dreaming about the pasta and pork shank. Bravo 👏 . Cannot wait to take my family here again in the future to visit this hidden bistro. The table by the street window was a treat.”
“My friends and I selected the 3 course experience, and were pretty satisfied with everything. I would say that everything that I have tried were in between great and excellent, and even if nothing was exceedingly spectacular, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a pleasant Italian food experience! The peach panzanella and the roasted beets were both pretty good, with the beets having enough whipped ricotta and vinaigrette to remove the beets' earthy flavor. I had the rigatoni bolognese for primi, and the pasta was very al dente, which was a plus! The sauce was a bit soupy, and sometimes it was a bit difficult to get the sauce on the rigatoni, but in terms of taste, it definitely had a good amount of flavor. Out of all the primi we have had, mine had the largest portion, and I was a bit surprised at the portion size for the potato gnocchi and the squid ink lumache. The roasted beets also had a very small size, which surprised me as well. In terms of dessert, my friend thought the honey rosemary panna cotta was too sweet, while I thought the tiramisu had a very strong espresso flavor and the ladyfinger at the bottom was a bit too wet. But the mascarpone ratio was good and it still tasted good enough. Service and atmosphere were both great! Our waiter was very attentive to our needs, and made a conscious effort to ensure our orders were correct. The place also had good decor and a good vibe for dates for those that are interested!”
“Had a nice overall experience, mainly because of the service. The staff was great friendly hostess and a very attentive (and handsome) host at the end😄 but came for the food to lets get to that! Food-wise, it was a bit hit or miss: Grilled salmon – good, would recommend Roasted beets – standout dish, highly recommend Roasted pork belly – overcooked Braised pork shank – just okay For desert, the tiramisu was the only real highlight. Overall, great service and a nice atmosphere, but the food didn’t fully meet expectations for the price. Might still consider coming back, but probably to try different dishes.”
“Nice BYOB Italian joint. Two Pre fix menus. The food is very good; but like most places these days the entrees do not stand up to the appetizers. They were the only disappointment.”
“I visited A Mano based on its reputation as one of Philadelphia's top pasta spots, but the experience was ultimately a letdown. While the menu descriptions were intriguing, the execution failed to deliver on flavor and tradition. Beets with Burrata: The overuse of vinegar on the beets made the dish depart from this normal very delicious treatment of beets. The inclusion of pistachios felt like a poor match that didn't harmonize with the other components. Rigatoni Bolognese: While the house-made pasta was technically excellent and cooked perfectly, the sauce was a bizarre departure from a traditional Bolognese. It featured breadcrumbs and a spicy element that bore no resemblance to the classic dish—not necessarily "bad," but certainly not what was advertised. Lemon Olive Oil Cake: Served with ricotta ice cream, the cake itself was just undistinguished. Service: The service was just average. The staff did not seem very interested in describing the food, and they weren't particularly friendly or engaging. On the positive side, I would add that the pricing is very reasonable for a three-course pasta dish. Food amounts are also quite generous.”
