A cozy South Philly restaurant offering simple pleasures and natural wines.
“This place got a Michelin recommendation, and it's still somehow underrated--based on the food alone, it should have gotten a star! Every time I go here, the food seems to get better. Fundamentally Mediterranean, but sprinkling in influences from all around the world, every dish is made with care. It's hard to pick out highlights because everything was so good! The trout melted in your mouth like butter. The mushrooms were insanely savory with a touch of five spice. The scallops had a dash of curry and maybe mustard greens? One of the best meals of the year!! Thank you!!”
“We loved everything about Mish Mish!!! The food was amazing and the service was super friendly and helpful. Somehow my reservation didn’t go through but they were super nice about it and accommodated us. The wagyu, mushrooms, and labneh were particular standouts but it was all delish. They have a way with sauces here—everything was packed with flavor. We also felt like it wad a great value—many places would charge twice as much for a steak this good. Great cocktails too!!”
“i actually can’t believe i haven’t left a review for mish mish yet, i love it here! i live around the corner and have been going pretty regularly since they opened (especially when it’s sunshine hour outside) and it’s always been great. they have amazing wine, amazing fries and an amazing carajillo! the atmosphere is perfect, staff is so nice and the food is constantly changing and tasty. i don’t know where i used to hang before they existed, tbqh.”
“Exceptional and delicious food from a team that really takes care of their guests. Always a good time and good vibes. Loved our amuse of olives and peppers, the pork belly was some of the best I've had and the chef's special was so good we ordered it twice”
“There were mixed reviews about this place but we still wanted to give it a try as reviews are always so subjective. The “small plates” are not small for fine dining standards. I feel like the reviews that said the portions were small for the price they are paying are expecting Olive Garden portions knowing they are at a tapas fine dining establishment. The dishes are supposed to be shared tapas style, so don’t expect to just order one dish as an entree. Order several dishes for the table and try a bit of everything. My favorite are the fried cheese, crispy potatoes, and steak. I think the eggplant was done really well too. We dined indoor and there was a nice breeze from the large open windows. Loved that they noticed I was pregnant and offered pregnant friendly drink options and they even popped a candle on our dessert. It was a lovely last dinner date before the baby arrived.”
