“A spot that really delivers on its promise of unique food and a wonderful ambiance. We thought we had a reservation for Sunday of Valentine's weekend at 9 PM... turns out I reserved a month ahead of time for March 15th. But, they had a table available to accommodate us anyways! One of my favorite places now, certainly on the pricier side, but you will leave very, very full. I would recommend getting 1-2 things out of each section of the menu. This ran us about $195 for two people on a special night out, which is better than other classy spots around the city. Some of the flavor profiles I had in these dishes are unlike anything I've ever experienced before. My standouts were the grilled cabbage Caesar and the rainbow trout fillet. Both just incredible flavor experiences, and we were fighting to finish off that fillet as the final course. Will be going back again and again! I hope the branzino will be available for our next trip!”
“Wow! This blew my socks off! I’m not a very adventurous eater, so I was a little nervous. We made reservations and it was a 2 month wait to get in. They encourage sharing, so we ordered a few things and shared. For apps, the trout pate and homemade focaccia were out of this world. Trout pate didn’t necessary strike me, as sometimes it’s too fishy for me, but this was so well balanced and tasty! For our other dishes, we had the roasted half chicken and the sourdough spatzel. Both were incredible! We had to get our own chickens because it was honestly THAT GOOD! For dessert, we split the chocolate torte. Everything was absolutely amazing! It’s very cozy inside, it was such a nice date night. The staff were amazing and patient in helping us chose and explain to be sure we were happy with our choices. Just really incredibly good, hearty meal. Would absolutely recommend!”
“Our visit was one year ago but we had an amazing dinner with incredible service. I went with my family but the atmosphere would also be perfect for a date night. Highly recommend the tartare, Caesar salad, and branzino. Would return to try their new menu changes!”
“I think we tried everything on the menu and liked pretty much everything. The waitress recommended getting 2-3 dishes per person, which is definitely too much. Everything was unique and delicious. The dishes that stood out were mackerel, beet salad, and chicken. Would definitely return here!”
“Me and my partner visited here last night for our anniversary and were so excited, looking forward to it for months! We got the whole grilled branzino, ny strip steak, two cocktails, and the chocolate torte. Flavors were awesome and unique, the fish and cocktails were perfect and worth the price, and the steaks flavor with the lobster hollandaise was so incredible!! The only reason I’m leaving a review is because as we started eating, the steak was too tough and difficult to chew, and the server was confusingly unaccommodating. The lighting in the restaurant is very ambient and dim, which made it hard for us to tell if it was actually a problem or just us being dumb, so we wanted to ask the server if it’s normally this tough. They took a long time to check in on us as my partner sat clearly not eating much of the steak, and both our waters and his drink was empty, until 35 or so minutes passed by when they finally came over. When asked, they said usually it can be tough, sometimes other tables’ plates will have a lot cut off, and asked if we took the fat cap off, which we did. We were not expecting anything discounted, remade, or free at the time especially because the kitchen was closing and the steak is the most expensive thing on the menu ($68), we just wanted confirmation we weren’t crazy. The server then boxed it up for us, and came back saying ehh yeah it’s a little pink…I’m sorry for not checking earlier. They offered a free dessert but we were not about to demand anything, so we said it was okay and we paid for the dessert anyway. Once we left we still hadn’t checked in full lighting what the steak was like but…it was absolutely raw. Like less than rare, even though we ordered it medium rare. We did have a reservation towards the end of the night and I get mistakes happen, but we paid $68 for a steak that we’re now cooking to temp at home to salvage it, and I just wish the server had a more clear reaction to how raw it looked once they saw it in full kitchen lighting as well. Just a little crazy is all”
