Luke's Lobster - Portland Pier is a Seafood restaurant in the Portland Old Port neighborhood of Portland.
βI stumbled upon this spot while exploring Portland, and I must say, the lobster roll with truffle oil was a total winner for me! It was rich, buttery and just right. The fish and chips were also amazing, definitely a reason to return. Overall, the service was excellent, the seafood was delicious and the view with the sunset seagulls was unforgettable!β
βAmazing food in a beautiful setting right on the water. Staff and service were wonderful! Lobster π¦ rolls were so delicious! They offer inside and outside seating. Make sure to check out the lobster π¦ tanks when you walk in. Beautiful views from both inside and out. Park along the main road for cheaper parking as itβs expensive in the lot on the pier.β
βWife and I were on a New England/Canada Cruise. Luke's Lobster had THE BEST lobster roll I had throughout our stops. The trio lobster sampler was delicious and unique to the location. We also tried their pop corn shrimp which was tasty. The wife had a lobster BLT and loved it as well, surprised on how big the lobster meat in the BLT actually was. Definitely recommend stopping by.β
βThis is a great place for a lobster roll. The food was fresh and tasty. The french fries came out hot and crunchy! Perfect. The hot butter over the cold lobster is a great combo. Service is friendly, attentive and quick. Wonderful views and the restaurant and restrooms are neat and clean.β
βWhile in Boston for a conference we drove up to Portland to try Luke's Lobster π¦. We had to try Lobster in Manine being so close while traveling. We were seated promptly at a corner table surrounded by windows. We arrived during happy Hour and were able to get some HH drinks and their lobster poutine. I have never been a big seafood fan, and have only had Lobster once before at a red lobster back home and it wasn't anything to write home about. I didn't even think I liked Lobster until trying fresh lobster at Luke's. My friend and I both started with clam chowder which was one of the absolute best chowder I have had - tied with one in Seattle. We ordered the lobster roll flight that came with 3 mini rolls one with lemon butter, truffle butter & hot Honey, all were so delicious but I think the Hot Honey was my favorite. We also both got their special shrimp and grains bowl and a side of haddock bites. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful and more than we expected. Our server, Ash was very kind, and attentive, offered to take a photo for us, kept our drinks full and checking on us as we ordered in phases. It was quite cold outside but they had a very beautiful water side patio seating available. We left full and happy but longing for more when we got home to the West coast. Hats off to this place for excellent food, scenery and service. I have friends who have this on their list of places to try when they travel to Maine.β
