Bistro Leluco is a Mediterranean restaurant in the South Portland neighborhood of South Portland.
βThis is a great neighborhood eatery. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating. While the dinner menu has some amazing offerings, I usually opt for the weekend brunch experience. Highlights include the house cured bacon and the "Little Dutchy" pancake with blueberries π«. The incentive brunch cocktails are expertly blended by Ryan, behind the bar. Outdoor seating is available, when the weather cooperates....... But, why would I sit anywhere but the bar!?!? π€ͺπ₯β
βWhat a little gem of a restaurant! We had a delicious and relaxing meal here this evening to celebrate our anniversary. We started with the fried cheese and fig app (yum), then I had the swordfish (cooked perfectly) and my husband had chicken parm (also delish), with a shared chocolate torte for dessert. Portions are just right. Nice wine selection and creative cocktail menu. Our server was friendly and attentive β as in, she paid attention and filled water glasses and offered second beers, without hovering. Itβs a bright and lovely space; Iβm a sucker for a single stem fresh flower on every table. Good prices for a high quality dinner. I am happy to find spots like this outside Portland, for when you want to have a quiet evening.β
βSunday Brunch at Bistro Leluco with friends this morning was perfect. Antonio was so kind and accommodating. Service was excellent, the place is lovely and the food was excellent. Difficult time choosing because I wanted to try everything. I decided on the shukshuka. So good!β
βWonderful evening at Bistro LeLuco. We spent our 6 year anniversary here and had attentive service, thoughtful dishes, and unbelievable tastes. Perfect portions. We enjoyed some raw oysters, Saganaki (pan fried cheese w figs), Keftedes (lamb meatballs), Ksifias (grilled swordfish), and the lamb chops. We finished the meal with the affogato and the olive oil cake. Highly recommend the Paper Tiger for a non-alcoholic beverage. Thank you to Mackenzie and the wonderful staff at Bistro LeLuco!β
βWe were so excited about this restaurant on our second visit back to Portland. Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. Every dish we had, while presented beautifully, missed each time in taste, texture and/or level of doneness. We were surprised that the halibut was overcooked in a seaside town like Portland. While the food was a miss for us, the cocktails were excellent - I really loved the Turkish Coffee Martini. With that said, the host and servers were super nice! And the dining room felt cozy, right level of noise, and while simplistic, perfectly decorated. Altogether, Iβd give this experience a 3.5/5.β
