Boudro's Texas Bistro is an American restaurant in the Riverwalk neighborhood of San Antonio.
“Our credit card gives us a $100 credit to certain restaurants in the city so we did our research to see where we should spend our credit as well as make our reservation. This place was perfect for a relaxing date night and we got on the river reservations day of. The staff was super friendly from check in to service. We went with the fan favorites of blackened gulf fish fillet to shrimp and grits. The table side guacamole was hard to pass up as we witnessed them make it freshly at the table. The fish is the best I’ve had in SA. Worth every ounce. My husband gave high praise for the shrimp and grits as well. We also had drinks to go with our meal, that had great ingredients but something we’ll pass on next time as the price didn’t match the quality nor did the guacamole match the price either. I recommend putting the avocados in the fridge before serving, warm guac is not a favorite on a summer night. Other than the little critiques, we were glad we picked this restaurant to enjoy our evening out with one another.”
“Our waiter's name was Andrew. He was superb on conversation and answered all of our questions immediately, giving insight into the foods and even asking if we had any allergy issue to avoid. The atmosphere is on the River Walk and is always lovely. I would recommend a reservation if you plan on arriving after 7pm. It fills up quick. We were able to talk easily and hear each other comfortably. This is not a loud restaurant. Definitely will be back and we will ask for Andrew again. Well done Boudro's.”
“Boudro’s on the Riverwalk is a great spot for dinner if you’re visiting San Antonio. The location right along the River Walk makes the whole experience feel special, especially in the evening when the lights reflect off the water. It has a lively but still comfortable atmosphere — perfect for a relaxed dinner after walking around downtown. We ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The roasted potatoes on the side were flavorful and nicely crisp on the outside. The quail dish was also impressive, with a rich sauce that paired well with the meat. Even the salad was fresh and well-balanced, not just a basic side. Service was attentive and friendly, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Prices are on the higher side, but considering the location, quality of food, and overall experience, it felt worth it. Definitely a good choice for a nicer dinner on the River Walk, whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a solid Texas dining experience.”
“Josiah was an awesome server!! Would come back just for him. Food was great. Shrimp and grits were stellar and the bread pudding was fantastic. Sitting on the water was lovely. Probabaly the best place on the river walk. Great date night spot!”
“Saw this restaurant on the Texas Bucket List and finally tried it! Prickly Pear Margaritas were refreshing and super yummy. Our waitress was excellent, extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu and very helpful with suggestions. I had the stuffed quail. It was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but it was overall a good balance between the gameyness of the bird and the sweetness of the apricots. My spousal unit had the prime rib and said it was excellent! Cooked perfectly and seasoned amazingly. The vegetables are super good as well. We didn't take a picture of the seared scallops, but they were tender and the flavor was awesome! Overall, the prices were more than I think it was worth. But you d o get a great view of the river walk!”
