J. Alexander’s San Antonio (La Cantera)

“J. Alexander’s was absolutely phenomenal! We visited on July 2nd for dinner, and every part of the experience was exceptional. Our server, Victoria, was amazing from the moment she greeted us. She was patient, attentive, genuinely kind, and so helpful throughout our meal. She always had a sincere smile on her face and such a bright, cheerful personality. She made us feel welcomed and never made us feel rushed, even when we had questions. Outstanding service! We started with the Spinach Queso, which was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. I ordered the Filet Béarnaise with a Caesar salad, and it was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious. My husband had the 14 oz Steak Maui, and it was incredible as well. For dessert, my husband ordered the warm carrot cake, and it was unbelievably delicious. I had the ice cream cake, and super duper yummy doesn’t even begin to describe it! It was so rich, creamy, and decadent—words truly can’t express how good it was. From the outstanding food to Victoria’s exceptional service, this was a true five-star dining experience. Every bite was worth every penny, and we’ll definitely be back!”

“We had such a wonderful dining experience at J. Alexander’s! The service was on point. The manager, Ford was so friendly and attentive throughout the night. Every entree we ordered was delicious! The Crab Cakes and Brassiere Chicken was especially tasty. You can tell the restaurant and their chefs take pride in the quality of their food and service. This was our first time experiencing J. Alexander’s and we will 100% be returning.”

“We stopped in tonight to join family for a birthday dinner. Arriving early we decided to sit at the bar. We ordered two Cindy Lemon Drop Martinis AND THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! For dinner I ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the crispy chicken salad. The flavors in the food was so good.”

“Had our anniversary dinner here. Honestly hard to judge because everything tasted great but the steak wasn't cooked properly. I asked for medium and got rare (pic below). For our anniversary the Manager hooked us up with a free carrot cake which was outstanding!! Staff even gave us a card, very thoughtful! Regardless of the steak being undercooked it still tasted good and would recommend.”

“What can i say other than wow! I came here with my family given we love the Quarry Location and boy was this Place On Point! The Restaurant looks amazing and the food tastes even better! The music is calming, and the mood they set during dinner is superb. Our Waitress Trinity left a little to be desired, she may of been having an off night but i will not hold the restaurant accountable on her merits. The Seared Tuna, The couscous, and the Prime Rib were Divine! Our Desserts “Pumpkin Pie / Carrot Cake” Were the chefs kiss to a wonderful meal! This place is a Very worthwhile experience we will not soon forget! Great Date Night and Family Spot! 10 out of 10! I definitely recommend! Hopefully trinity is having a better day the next time we visit.”
