“Jonathan escorted us through the new menu with patience and grace. His recommendations were spot on and set my group up for an ideal celebratory birthday dinner. I can remember all of the dishes but everything was fantastic, my favorite being the rock fish, done simple and well. The spread was vibrant with flavor, most dishes had some sort of kick to them, but everything was well rounded and complimentary. I know we did the short rib, but shrimp salad, tuna, pork skins, chips, curry clams and both desserts. Always worth the trip. Thanks Jonathan and the rest of the team for a delightful evening celebrating my boi!”
“After a full afternoon of Devil Wears Prada 2 and cocktails, we made our way to Good Good Culture Club and it more than held its own as the final act of the night. Everything was deliberate and exceptionally well executed. We went with the tasting menu and added the chicken thighs, which were excellent, but the standout for me was the tuna tataki. Every dish carried a subtle heat and depth of flavor that felt both nostalgic and elevated. It reminded me of growing up in a Pan-Asian household but on a completely different level. The fried catfish was another highlight, perfectly cooked. Even the most discerning among us with strong opinions on catfish were impressed. Dessert was equally thoughtful. Balanced, not overly sweet, and with a texture that felt intentional rather than heavy. The cocktails deserve their own mention. Creative without being gimmicky and genuinely memorable. The pickleback martini was a standout and has me rethinking how I serve martinis going forward. Service was seamless and attentive throughout. The team handled a severe nut and shellfish allergy with care and precision, which did not go unnoticed. All in, an exceptional experience. The kind of place that does not just cap off a night, it elevates it.”
“A stylish take on cocktail-driven Polynesian (reminiscent of tiki), pan-Asian offerings with many nods to Southeast Asian cuisines. Attractive clientele, buzzy atmosphere, retro finishes reminiscent of decades past somewhere along the Pacific Rim. The tasting menu is an excellent way of touring the many options. Overall, good; but not quite the real deal as flavors only mildly touch all four ends of the palette. Sauces veer on the side of salty, lacking complexity more commonly found in home-style or mom-and-pop establishment cooking. Likely a good crowd pleaser, well-tuned to offering something for anybody. Long table seating available for big parties.”
“Good Good Culture Club is the sister restaurant of one of our favorite spots, Liholiho Yacht Club, but unfortunately it doesn’t quite measure up. The food is less interesting and portions are smaller. The atmosphere was extremely loud—almost unbearable for a Tuesday night. I suspect the loud music pushes people to talk louder, which then makes everyone else raise their voices even more, creating a noisy feedback loop. I’d recommend avoiding the chicken wings. They’re coated in a hard shell of syrup, and the inside is bland and flavorless. The rest of the dishes were ok. While it’s not a bad place to try once—especially if you live nearby—I won’t be coming back.”
“Very mediocre food. Seems like a Thai place but all the flavors are just so American. The stuffed chicken wing is just like the sweet buffalo wings with some strange stuffing. Pork ribs is again covered by sauce that is too sweet. Pork jowl and skirt steak is okay. Fried sole is an another bummer. The fired dishes all have unbelievably thick and soggy coating. The grilled mushroom is dry and not flavorful at all. The portion size is also very small given the price. Not worth the visit. Basically an elevated Panda Express — yea only elevated in the price though.”
