“Very good food with a good execution. A mix of french and Japanese typically brings out a balance of richness and umami flavor. Most of the dishes hit the mark. The jus of lamb is very rich and deep. The quail is also good. The only thing I didn’t like much was the Sashimi + Celery, I feel the balance is off especially compared to other dishes of the day. Really good vibe. Would definitely come back!”
“Finally got to try out this restaurant I had been eyeing for so long, and had a great experience. The set menu was very filling. I added the pate because i really wanted to try it, but did not realize the size of it. In retrospect, I would not have gotten it as I was absolutely stuffed by the last dish. To drink, I started with their sparkling option (pictured below) which I loved. Also added a red later on in the meal (pictured) which was also nice. My favorite dish was their mackerel, which was constructed with such detail and I could see the chef working in front of me which was cool. Their dessert was also a light perfect end to their otherwise hearty meal. Can't wait to come again once their seasonal menu changes!”
“Fantastic four-course dinner with truly outstanding service and a great atmosphere. The flavor combinations were unique, and every dish was thoughtfully and skillfully executed. If you can, grab a seat at the bar. It is a treat to watch the chefs plate each course. Highly recommend.”
“Truly enjoyed our dinner here. We ordered one additional dish alongside the fixed course, and every single plate was delicious and beautifully presented. I especially loved the variety of ingredients—particularly the vegetables, many of which were new to me and incredibly fresh. The flavors, atmosphere, and service were all excellent, and the price was very reasonable for the quality offered. Highly recommend!”
“Mijote was an interesting, hip, involved dinner on a bustling Thursday. Reservations were definitely required (glad we had one) but we did still have to wait a bit before being seated. Service throughout was solid, a mix of dedicated servers, folks behind the food bar, and other staff mixing in and out. The dishes overall were definitely quality, but ultimately failed to spark too much engagement from me. The bread was frankly burnt, the duck was heavy, and the fish not as exciting as I expected. I came away from Mijote feeling like I've had a similar meal at many similar upscale restaurants in the US. Not a huge negative, but something to keep in mind as you compete for a reservation. Wine pairing was great though!”
