Tsunami hits like a hidden GEM for locals on weeknights (IYKYK) but the crowds flock on weekends so make sure you have a reservation, though they will do everything in their power to accommodate walk ins. You can tell the service is something everyone working there really takes pride in. Food is amazing and always fresh. Vibey ambiance, good music, large Shochu selection. Their sister bar is just around the corner on Divisadero, Bar 821, and its the perfect place to stop pre or post dinner!”

“This place is a bit of an institution in the neighborhood. It's been around for at least 25 plus years for good reason. Great selection of Japanese liquor and Cocktails. Bartender is really good! Staff is friendly.”

“I love the servers and host. They are so friendly and accommodating, but the manager is very rude. Maybe she is very stressed but that’s not her excuse to treat others disrespectfully. The food overall is fine but not as fresh as other sushi restaurants I have been to. Atmosphere is legit.”
