“Today was my first time coming here and what a great experience I had. I ordered the blackened red fish. The sauce, dirty rice and corn was just chefs kiss! My food was hot and fresh. My server Key was amazing. She knew about the different sauces and the adult beverages. I also ordered a hurricane drink. Overall everything was amazing and I cleaned my plate. Will be back again.”

“There was a long wait. However the food was great. Ordered chargrilled oysters as a starter. Main dish was Grouper with a side of grots, lamb chops with a side of red beans and rice, and shrimp and grits with a side of gumbo. Finally for dessert ordered both the chochlate cake and bread pudding. Both items were to-go but they were eaten. Bkth were so very good. The Hurricane Flight hit the spot. Really enjoyed the Category 5 Hurricane. Promise, server, took care of my party. She delivered excellent customer service. Promise ensured our orders were accurate, and accommodated us were needed. She obtained clarity from the kitchen about several dishes in question. Thanks, i will return.”

“We had high hopes for Louisiana Bistreaux in Sandy Springs while in town for a family reunion and were hoping to cap off the trip with a fantastic meal. Unfortunately, the overall experience missed the mark. We had a 7:00 PM reservation, but when we arrived, we were told there would still be a 30–40 minute wait. We decided to wait at the bar, and I will say the bartender was fantastic. After about 30 minutes, we checked back on our table and were told they had been “looking for us,” even though we were right there at the bar. They did seat us immediately after that, but it was not the best start. The appetizers were actually a highlight. We had the gator bites and fried okra, and both were excellent. The sauces were some of the best we’ve had, adding great flavor without overpowering the dishes. Unfortunately, the service issues continued when the appetizers arrived and we had no silverware. We were told they had run out of clean silverware and were given plastic instead, which was disappointing given the price point and setting. For the main entrée, I ordered my steak medium well, but it came out well done. I was also told I needed to choose a substitute side because the mashed potatoes, which were part of the dish, were not ready. My other guests did enjoy their meals, and real silverware did eventually arrive. Dessert was another bright spot. The chocolate cake was rich, moist, and deeply flavorful, with a dense, indulgent texture that felt like a true finish to the meal. The bread pudding was also expertly done: warm, soft, buttery, and full of comforting sweetness, with the kind of rich flavor that makes you wish the rest of the meal had been on the same level. There were definitely some positives, especially the bartender, appetizers, sauces, and desserts. But between the reservation delay, confusion around seating, silverware issue, entrée execution, and substitutions, I can’t say I’d recommend it based on this visit. For the cost, I’m sure there are better and more consistent options in the area. We were really looking forward to this one, so it was a letdown.”
