“We were really impressed with everything Copal has to offer. It was recommended to us by a Spanish speaking hotel manager near the boardwalk. As native US/Mexico borderland residents, who grew up across the border, it was exciting hearing of a local eatery serving authentic Oaxacan cuisine. After looking over at reviews, we decided to give it a try. First impressions matter, and Copal’s ambiance is something to cherish. Loved the complimentary chips and salsa, Mexican cokes, and entrees. We ordered a Tlayuda, Oaxaca nachos, and sirloin tacos. Everything was spot-on! Excellent culinary skills, and exemplary service. 10 out of 10, honestly. Highly recommended.”

“Went here a couple of days ago, and I have to say the food had great taste. It tasted authentic and flavorful! The agua de horchata was delicious, as well as the Tlayuda. Our server was very attentive and polite, and I’ll be returning.”

“Food was exceptional and the service was next level. Our server was so nice and catered to every request we had. She hunted down an obscure Mezcal we were after and made sure it was the right one! Their selection was extensive! The food and especially the Amarillo Mole was next level and I highly recommend it! Don't sleep on the grasshoppers either! A bit of a delicacy for the United States but they were so good! If you are in the area, it is mandatory you try this place out!”

“Food is sublime! It’s consistently delicious and they have a great decor. They have the best kids menu, as well A steak, rice, yummy beans, a sweet drink and a popsicle for only $10. My daughter loves to dine here. I just wish they change their coloring pages. We have been coloring the same pages for the last 4 years :))”

“Wow, outstanding! We got there at the end of happy hour - highly recommend the nachos! I had the Oaxa salad with shrimp - huge! Delicious! Hubby enjoyed the Tlayuda, which again was huge! We'll be feasting on left overs, for sure. He also enjoyed the flan.”
