“Pleasantly surprised. Went here for dinner with family for my birthday. I was expecting standard, Mexican food but this place has a different menu. Food quality and flavor and taste is outstanding. It’s not overpriced for the quality either that’s why I was surprised. We had the albondigas and empanadas for starters, crispy potato tacos, Quesabirra and chicken tacos. The chicken taco is made with the Adobado culinary technique so it was awesome. All the food was great actually. All food is gluten free. Parking is behind the restaurant. Plenty of space but make a reservation for weekend dinners. I found my favorite Mexican restaurant”

“We decided to try this place out on a Sunday evening. We sat on the rooftop deck that had a nice view of the street and great place to hang out and get some sun. My wife and I started out with a Cadillac margarita and a blood orange margarita. Both were excellent. For a starter we had just chips and salsa, but they were very good. The chips were fresh and served warm. There were two types of salsa and I liked how they included nice size portions of each. Many times at Mexican restaurants I have to ask for more. For dinner we had the Brussels sprouts with an excellent citrus dressing and chicken fajitas. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and cooked to perfection. The citrus dressing added a nice tangy flavor the complimented the spouts. The fajitas included nice large portions of tender/juicy chicken, lots of vegetables, rice, beans, guacamole and salsa. The flavor of everything was fantastic. Our server Roger was attentive, but gave us time to order and just hang out. As the sun began to set, the manager lower some shades that reduced the glare, but still let us have a view if the street. My only complaint was the music was very loud. It was so loud that it was annoying or we could not talk. Overall, great experience and we will be back.”

“Copita fits perfectly into the neighborhood’s lively downtown vibe. It’s a spot where you can stroll past boutiques and cafés, then duck inside for tacos and’s drinks and instantly feel the energy pick up. The layout is cool too; there are bars both downstairs and another one upstairs, and the top floor gives you a great view of the street scene below. Right on the corner. Service was just ok and the food definitely same. The quesabirria tacos were the standout for me while the carnitas with corn tortillas were tender but not that flavorful. The fish tacos had a light, tasty thing going on. It’s quite pricey for what I’d delivered in volume and quality. Food looks super pretty though. It’s an easy place to settle in for drinks and did before wandering back into the buzz of Willow Glen.”

“We've been here twice now and have enjoyed the drinks and food. There is a parking lot behind the building and street parking. We came here for happy hour and it's definitely worth checking out. All the HH drinks were delicious and my favorite was la capirucha. I love mezcal and this drink is super refreshing. For the ceviches, we've had the coconut campechano and shrimp aguachiles tostadas. We thoroughly enjoyed both of these and would recommend these to try. For the tacos, the most memorable and flavorful one that I would recommend is the trompo. As for dessert, you must try the churros! They come out hot and it is delicious with the chocolate sauce. If you're in Willow Glen and looking for a good happy hour, definitely swing by Copita for some drinks and food!”
