Nido's Backyard

“I went to Nido’s to host our welcome party for our wedding guests, who were flying in from NJ. WOW- all of our guests had so much fun and were raving about the food and drinks! I was allowed to use my own playlist for music, and we rented out the plaza area! It was so beautiful and fun- they even decorated with some flowers in vases. The server was so kind and outstanding. I will definitely be back!”

“The chilaquiles were some of the best I’ve ever had. We also for the chips and queso and shrimp ceviche which were both very good. Such a fun spot. There’s a parking lot across the street for $5.”

“The food, drinks and atmosphere here are amazing. If you come here on a sunny day, you’re in for a great time. The customer service here usually is not the highlight. However, today a guy by the name of Craig was helping me and damn it was some of the best service/help I’ve had in a long time. Dude was attentive yet knew how to give space and allow you to enjoy the nice atmosphere. I highly suggest you come here and request him. Super cool down to earth dude and he made my time here enjoyable and relaxing. Will be back soon 👍🏾 THANK YOU CRAIG”

“Must order the Birria Quesadilla!! The lively atmosphere and unique outside vibe add to a fun evening out. To be fair this is my re-posted review from 4 years ago. I copied it before closing my other account: Avoid the crab empanada wasn’t bad but not noteworthy. Avoid the tres leches cake, it was not edible, 3 of us took a bite and all agreed it tasted like a fridge and the contents inside a fridge.”

“This place has a lot of potential. The food is great and accommodates well. Atmosphere can be good, but the culture could use some help. The General Manager is terrible. Personally encountering him made me never want to return here. He needs training in the art of de-escalading. Not to mention, he talks to his employees in such a demeaning, rude, and inappropriate way. I would go into more detail about the food and ambiance, but this gentleman's conduct completely overshadowed any good experience I had here. If you go here, stay away from the General Manager. It amazes me the level of talent Oakalnd has to offer and they settle for efforts that ruin reputations.”
