Copita Tequileria y Comida Sausalito is a Mexican restaurant in the Sausalito neighborhood of Sausalito.
“Super cute place! Had a great dinner and drinks last night before the Sausalito festival of lights, boat parade. Got a table right away outside on a super busy night. Excellent guacamole! My carne asada tacos were full of flavor & succulent. Skinny Maragarita did the trick. Definitely going back. Great service and food. Festive atmosphere!”
“It was a really nice, slightly elevated take on Mexican food. Everything was delicious, especially the carne asada and guacamole. The spicy wings were also very good. I liked the atmosphere and service, and the menu felt lighter, not overly greasy or oily. Good place for family dinner.”
“Was looking for a nice restaurant after my tour through Muir Woods. Ended up going here on a recommendation from my tour guide. Amazing food and the service was excellent. Didi, my server, did an great job keeping it fun and made sure I had everything I needed, even as a solo guest. He kept my tequila (water) topped off whenever he came by! I highly recommend the Copita Margarita. Everything was fresh and the Mango Habenero Wings was cooked to perfection. Quick service with the food as well, perfect if you only have a hour before you have to get back to your tour!”
“Visited this dedicated gluten-free spot while spending time in Sausalito, and overall I had a good experience. First off, as someone with celiac disease, having a fully gluten-free restaurant is always such a relief and something I genuinely appreciate supporting. I didn’t get sick at all, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal without the usual stress that comes with eating out. The location itself is fantastic too — right near the water in a super cute, walkable part of Sausalito. I absolutely loved the overall vibe of the area. It had that very Northern California/Sausalito energy: a little artsy, a little health-conscious, laid-back, scenic, and just generally enjoyable to walk around before and after eating. The restaurant itself had cute decor and a fun atmosphere, though definitely more lively and energetic than calm and relaxing. When we went, it was very busy and crowded, and the noise level made it a little difficult to comfortably talk at times. It also felt a bit cramped once the restaurant filled up. The vibe leaned more toward a busy social/sports-bar-adjacent atmosphere with TVs playing games rather than a quiet sit-down dinner spot. Because it was so busy, the experience felt a little more rushed overall — waiting for a table, ordering quickly, servers understandably moving fast, etc. Nothing wrong with the service itself; it was more just the reality of how packed the restaurant was during peak dining time. The food was good, and I’d absolutely go back again, though I do think the pricing felt a little high for what you receive portion/value-wise. Next time, I’d probably try to go during an off-peak time to enjoy the experience a bit more fully. Overall though, I’d still recommend it, especially for anyone gluten-free visiting the area. Just keep in mind that it can get very crowded and noisy during busy hours depending on the kind of dining atmosphere you’re looking for.”
“Decent spot for Mexican food in Sausalito, but nothing extraordinary. The nachos and salsa were great, and the tacos/enchiladas were okay. I’d skip the wings next time, though. Good for a casual bite if you're in the area, but there's room for improvement on the mains.”
