“We had dinner at SWeL in Fremont to celebrate Mother’s Day, and it completely exceeded our expectations. At first, when we saw “New American + Italian,” we were a little skeptical and wondered if it might be one of those places trying to do too much. But every dish turned out to be excellent. We started with the Crispy Calamari with Arugula, which was very well seasoned and not heavy at all. The Scallops with Baguette were fantastic — the baguette was so fragrant and perfect for soaking up the sauce. We also tried the Seafood Linguine, which was fresh and well balanced, with shrimp and shellfish, and the Beef Ragu Pasta, which was rich, flavorful, and beautifully done. The biggest surprise was the Pizza. The crust was soft, airy, and full of flavor — easily better than any chain pizza. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and well-paced throughout the meal, which made the whole dinner even more enjoyable. It is definitely not a cheap dinner; for four people, our bill came out to a little over $240. But the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience made it feel worthwhile. Everything was thoughtful, well executed, and much better than we expected. We would definitely come back.”

“SWeL continues to be one of our favorite spots in Seattle, we’ve been back a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is a big part of why we love it: relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for unwinding, especially with a few glasses of wine. The food is consistently on point. The Italian sausage pizza is always a standout with its crispy crust and flavorful, slightly spicy sausage. The calamari was light, crispy, and perfectly cooked, not chewy at all. And the carne asada was a great addition very tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. Between the great food, inviting vibe, and good wine, SWeL is the kind of place we keep coming back to without hesitation. Definitely one of our go-to spots.”

First of all, I’m a chef owner, and today I wanted to personally try this restaurant after seeing so many great reviews. I have to say, I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The ambiance is beautiful and romantic — perfect for couples, whether you’ve been in love for years or are just starting your journey together. The lighting, the setup, the overall vibe… it just feels right. The food was absolutely delicious. Well-balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and thoughtful presentation. Every dish felt carefully crafted. On top of that, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Truly impressed — and I will definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for a spot for date night, this is it.”

“We had a wonderful meal here, I was really blown away by the cherry espresso martini, I hope it’s not just a special because I would come back just to have a couple more of those. I got the pappardelle mushroom pasta, which has shiitake, crimini and oyster mushrooms along with fresh thyme, rosemary, tarragon, cream and white wine and I also added the cascioppo brothers sausage which is a must for this dish. Sooooo yummy. Also got a Margherita pizza. It’s was the perfect date night spot.”

“Great vibes for a date or drinks with friends. Bar had lots of options and the food was good, ingredients tasted very fresh. Very reasonable happy hour as well and plenty of options to satisfy anyone. Would go back just for the pear bread pudding alone!”
