June Bug is a New American restaurant in the Somerville neighborhood of Somerville.
“June Bug offers a high quality pizza dough that is both soft and rustic at the same time. It reminded me of naan bread, with a texture that was light and very easy to digest. The toppings were somewhat restrained, but that ultimately comes down to personal preference. We started with the tuna tartare and beet salad, then finished with the ice cream of the day, flan, and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was well prepared and enjoyable. The mocktails were especially rich, flavorful, and refreshing. What stood out most was the atmosphere. Everyone in the restaurant seemed genuinely happy and engaged, both guests and staff, which contributed to a very welcoming dining experience. This was our second visit, and we would gladly return again. Overall, it was a thoughtful and high quality culinary experience”
“Such an awesome spot! Glad I checked the reviews before arriving. We loved everything we got - kitchen sink salad, shrimp toast, and the ‘roni pizza. The dough here is so good. And the cocktails also are exceptional. Shoutout to Meche behind the bar, he made the experience phenomenal for us. Will definitely be back”
“Loved everything about this place! The vibes, the food, the drinks! The pizza was one of my favorites in the area and the cocktails were unique and delicious.”
“Amazing crust on their pizza. We got the courgette pizza, the pepperoni pizza, and a Caesar salad. Caesar was amazing. Courgette was so yummy, couldn’t recommend it more. The pepperoni was a little spicy but still good. It’s a little pricy for pizza and salad. the menu is also pretty limited. I would def go back tho!”
“The pizzas were spectacular, appetizers were lackluster and not worth the price. Service was also nice. We really enjoyed the service and pizza, the flavors were so unique, and the crust dippers were excellent. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, including the oysters, fish, lamb tartar, and heirloom tomatoes. Oysters and lamb was fine, but others were average. The appetizers were all at least $17-18 but the sizes were sooo small. The fish literally was just four or five thin slices. If you come here just order the oysters and pizza, don’t get anything else.”
