“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Order! The food and drinks were phenomenal—my husband can’t stop talking about the smash-burger. I mean seriously he has talked about it everyday since he ate it. We loved how welcoming they were to our small dog, even accommodating us by serving in the lobby. We were on our way home from an anniversary trip but decided to stay overnight at Hotel Vandivort to make my 40th birthday extra special. Our server went above and beyond by putting a candle on my dessert, which was delicious, making the evening feel truly memorable. Everything about our stay and dinner felt thoughtful and celebratory. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing food, a warm atmosphere, and a special experience!”

“Staying at the hotel for work and had dinner here 2 times cause I like it so much! Staff were super nice and attentive. Night 1 was beet salad, scallops and entree of angelottie pasta absolutely delicious! Night 2 cashew chicken and half order of the stroganoff absolutely amazing! So much flavor in all the dishes wow! Drinks were great! Dessert was the perfect end to the night. I look forward to the next time I am in town!”

“Made our work trip to Springfield! Friendly and classy service, gourmet-level of food! The local beets & tomato salad with yogurt/pepitas sauce just restored my lost fate into American cousine. Also discovered crunchy mushrooms in ginger & sesame oil. The market fish & eggplants was at the French cousine level. Nebbiolo was very good as well. Overall- worth a trip to Springfield just to dine here! Thank you 🫶”

“I wanted to leave a review about my experience at The Order on Monday. It was my birthday, and my brother, his pregnant wife, and I came in for dinner because we were excited to celebrate somewhere nice. The food was great, but unfortunately our service with Josh made the experience disappointing. From the moment we sat down, he was cold and short with us. When asked about entrees he said “steak is steak” Later in the meal, my brother asked if The Order does anything for birthdays, and Josh said, “Free dessert.” very coldly, once again. My brother then said that it was my birthday, and Josh simply responded, “Okay,” in a very impolite way. I ended up asking to see the dessert options after that because the interaction felt awkward, almost as if he didn’t believe us or was dismissing it altogether. That moment really confirmed the impression we had been getting all evening. The service never felt warm or welcoming, which was disappointing, especially considering we had reservations and chose your restaurant expecting a higher level of hospitality. I work as a server myself in an upscale restaurant, so I understand how demanding hospitality can be and I hate being the person to complain. I also couldn’t help but wonder if part of the dismissive tone was because we are younger, though I obviously can’t know that for sure. Regardless, there’s a certain level of hospitality guests should be able to expect at a restaurant like yours, and Monday that standard was missing. I’ve honestly never felt compelled to send negative feedback before, but I left upset enough that I felt it was necessary to say something.”
