1 Kitchen - Toronto is an International restaurant in the Toronto neighborhood of Toronto.
“Chosen for the aesthetics of indoor garden dining, this was just the spot to escape a chilly wind and dreary grey sky on a Saturday in early May. I was pleased by the cocktail menu that featured some creative takes on classics as well as imaginative new creations. Potato croquettes were 👌🏼 I could have eaten a dozen. And the cheese board provided a proper amount of toast given the amount of nibbles to indulge in.”
“This was a cute and quaint spot for brunch. We had the french toast, which was a bit all over the place. The strawberry cream may have been too much. Nevertheless, it was still great. The eggs were the most soft and fluffy I've ever had! The matcha was quite strong. A DJ provided some nice sounds and was equally friendly to customers.”
“Great and beautiful restaurant. Even though we had a reservation for brunch, everything was incredibly slow. The service seemed lacking. The food was just average, nothing over the top even though other ratings and reviews claim to be so. I think overall it was just average for the price paid.”
“We went to 1 Kitchen for brunch. The service was nice but super slow. There would be a few staff constantly hanging out in the reception area, having a good time, while others were not getting to their tables. Had to wait for about 15 min to get a QR code for the menu. The food was ok, the grilled cheese sandwiches stood under a hot plate for a while and did not feel fresh, no cheese pull or being melted/warm. Received the wrong order; however, received complimentary juice. The atmosphere is nice. Very green and sunny. Clean. It is a very busy place and is convenient for hotel guests. Overpriced.”
“Went to 1 Kitchen on the last day of Winterlicious, and the first thing that hits you is the interior. The space is absolutely stunning — lush greenery everywhere, from floor to ceiling, giving it a fresh, garden-like vibe right in the middle of the city. For starters, we ordered the pumpkin soup and the smoked cheddar dip. The pumpkin soup was honestly the best I’ve had in Toronto — rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The smoked cheddar dip, served with crisp chips, was also a solid choice and paired beautifully. For mains, we tried the Tavern Burger and the Butternut Squash Rigatoni. Unfortunately, this is where the experience dipped a little. The burger patty was on the drier side, and the rigatoni lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. We ended with chocolate profiterole and panna cotta. The panna cotta was average, and the seabuckthorn berry topping is something I personally wouldn’t try again. The chocolate profiterole, however, was delightful — it reminded me of the charming little bakeries in Paris. Overall, it wasn’t a perfect meal, but the ambiance and the strong start make me curious to return. I’ve heard their brunch is excellent, so I’ll definitely be back in the summer to explore more of their menu.”
