“We saw raving reviews on Instagram of Gloria in the Great Hall and weren’t disappointed. From great vibes in a trendy neighborhood to great service in a busy joint. We really enjoyed our smoked salmon Benedict (Eggs Hemingway) and were thoroughly surprised at how smooth and balanced the French Toast was (not overly sweetened like other places we’ve visited). We rated both our dishes a solid 4.5/5 and would definitely come to have the French Toast again. Moreover, we were very pleased that both (and most of) the dishes were reasonably priced which definitely made an excellent value for money. Lots of street parking available and small GreenP lots in the neighborhood. Thanks!”

“I haven’t had a breakfast this good in a long time. The omelette was especially incredible very well filled and cooked perfectly. I also ordered steak on the side, and honestly, I didn’t expect meat this good for breakfast. It was very tender and cooked really well. The atmosphere of the place is also very impressive and adds a whole different dimension to the experience. The service was quite professional. It’s a top-tier place in terms of both food and ambiance.”

“Came here for a birthday dinner and had a great experience. We made reservations beforehand, and from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. The restaurant has a cozy French bistro vibe with a modern diner feel—casual enough to be comfortable but still special enough for a celebration. Our server was outstanding. He didn't even need a notepad to remember all four of our orders and got everything right. Service throughout the night was attentive without feeling overbearing. We started with the East Coast oysters, which were fresh, clean, and briny. The French onion soup was easily the highlight of the meal—rich, deeply flavorful, topped with melted cheese, and exactly what you'd hope for from a classic French-inspired dish. The beef tartare was another winner, beautifully seasoned and topped with a rich egg yolk that brought everything together. The cocktails were well-balanced and thoughtfully made, complementing the food without overpowering it. For my main, I ordered the beef brisket served over creamy mashed potatoes. The brisket was tender, full of flavor, and incredibly comforting. My partner had the flank steak cooked medium rare, and it came out perfectly done with a great sear and juicy interior. We also shared the onion rings. They were nice and crispy, though they didn't quite stand out compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, if you're looking for a spot that feels like a modern French diner with great food, strong cocktails, and excellent service, Gloria in the Great Hall is definitely worth checking out. I'd happily come back and explore more of the menu.”

“For the atmosphere at brunch, beautiful the interior is very antique and pleasant to be in. With patio season and warm weather they open up the windows and it looks great. As for the brunch the food is quite pricey for brunch (20-30$ min spend) with not too many options for vegetarians. I got the French toast, eggs Hemingway and fries and it was quite good, the croissants are flaky and crispy. The seasoning could do some work however it was decently made. I’d recommend getting the French toast 100%”

“First time here, came for dinner and off the bat the place is very beautiful. Ambience was amazing! Got the steak tartare, charcuterie platter and the Cesar salad as starters and I enjoyed them very much. The steak tartare was my personal favourite, I think I’d pass on the salad though it’s just standard :/ the service was also quite nice, I don’t have a problem with it. Our waitress kept checking in on us and we always had water refills so service was a problem! Unfortunately I would say the mains were not the best and I don’t think I’d come back for food, maybe just drinks and vibes. In particular the beef brisket tasted super water for some reason? The mashed potato’s lacked any flavour and even with the gravy/sauce included in the dish it tasted rather stale. Another con would be the steak frites… the steak is tiny compared to A LOT of other restaurants that have very similar prices for the steak. Probably would be worth going to another resto for steak frites, I personally love Jules bistro which is really close.I will say the ragu was okay! Loved the noodle texture and beef with it. Also passion fruit drink was a 10/10 so I’d def come back just for drinks.”
