“PORT Restaurant truly surprised me ! I first visited Port Restaurant at Wharf St Bay Ridges, on a Friday while exploring the area, and the experience was so good that I couldn’t resist coming back again on Sunday, this time bringing more people along to share what I had discovered. We were a group of five, including a 4‑year‑old, and everyone found great options to enjoy. Everything we tried was delicious. On Friday, I had the Port burger, and on Sunday, I went for the pizza , both were excellent. Jayme, our server on Sunday, made us feel especially welcome and comfortable. This place feels like a hidden gem in Pickering. I’m planning to live in the area, and PORT will definitely become my go‑to spot whenever I want to relax and enjoy great food. I highly recommend it!”
“Port Restaurant is a fantastic place to dine. The food is great, consistently well prepared and satisfying. The view of the lake is mesmerizing and truly elevates the entire experience, especially during sunset when everything feels calm and scenic. It is a perfect spot for both a relaxed date night and a family meal. A comfortable place where good food and a beautiful waterfront setting come together effortlessly.”
“We had a fantastic late Valentine’s Day dinner at Port Restaurant in Pickering. The meal started with their focaccia bread and honey butter, which was honestly the star of the show; warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For mains, I had the maple bourbon salmon and my wife had the braised beef short rib. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The salmon paired really nicely with the wild rice and brussels sprouts, and the short rib was tender and rich with an excellent red wine braise. Dessert was just as good; I had the mango sorbet, which was bright and refreshing, while my wife had the chocolate cheesecake that was rich and decadent. Service from Jamie was excellent, very friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend Port to anyone looking for a great meal in Pickering.”
“I recently visited PORT in Pickering and had a fantastic experience. The location right by the waterfront makes the atmosphere calm and scenic, especially around sunset. It’s a great spot whether you’re going for a casual dinner, a date night, or meeting friends. The ambiance is modern yet cozy, with large windows and beautiful views of Lake Ontario. The service was attentive and professional — staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. The food quality really stood out. The seafood was fresh and well-seasoned, and the presentation was impressive. Portions were generous, and everything tasted balanced and flavorful. Their cocktails were also well-crafted and complemented the meal nicely. Overall, PORT offers a premium dining experience in Pickering. Between the food, service, and waterfront views, it’s definitely worth visiting. I would absolutely recommend it and plan to return soon.”
“The food is no better than what you'd get at Jack Astor's, yet it costs nearly 3x as much. You're not paying for great food, you're paying for a seat with a waterfront view. Strip away the scenery, and there's nothing about the menu or dining experience that justifies the premium price tag. For the same money, you're far better off going to Toronto's Harbourfront, where you'll find significantly better food, better value, and a much more worthwhile dining experience. The view here may be nice, but the food is overpriced, underwhelming, and simply not worth it.”
