“This is easily our favourite restaurant in Barrie, the staff and food are consistently incredible. We came here last night for our first wedding anniversary dinner, and the service was truly outstanding. Our server went above and beyond to make the evening special, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. He made a fantastic wine recommendation and even started us off with prosecco, which was a thoughtful touch. He truly made our night. Every visit we order the beef tartare, it's perfect. Lots of grainy mustard and cornichons. We also ordered the Agnolotti, Veal Piccata and Asparagus Salad, everything was beautifully executed and the timing of the courses was perfect. The veal was the standout dish. The risotto was rich and creamy with a perfect texture, and the veal cutlet was incredibly tender. The cutlet reminded me of a dish my grandmother used to make, viande panee (her version was fried beef cutlets stewed with carrots and tomato), the nostalgia made the dish quite special for me.”

“What a NIGHT!!!! @ Bayside Variety Kitchen and Bar. Honestly one of those dinners where everything was perfect!!! Jeremy took great care of us and was super easygoing and made my wife and I feel right at home. BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF!!! I had the braised beef with beets and the Oysters Rockefeller to start and it was unreal. My wife picked the Octopus to start and went with the duck and loved it Jake was behind the scene at the bar and absolutely nailed the cocktails. Dim lighting, chill vibe, good people around us just a really solid spot. We’ll 100% be back.”

“Amazing experience! We were treated top notch! Olivia is an incredible server. Attentive, humouress, lovely. We had the brussel sprouts and octopus for appetizers. I loved the Brussels sprouts. The octopus had a wonderful flavor and my partner loved it. I had the duck and he had the Atlantic char as our mains. The char is incredible! Crispy skin, wondeful flavour. We had a half serving of pasta... and it was my favourite part of the meal! The drinks were all amazing. It is my partners birthday and Olivia brought us a Budino dessert. So spoiled! Best dessert ever. We will come back here hands down. I live in Sudbury, but found my new fave restaurant in Barrie.”

“A gem in the midst of Downtown Barrie. The atmosphere , the ambience, the decor. Everything about Bayside oozes sophistication and elegance. The drinks and cocktails are lovely too!! The portion sizes are just right! Would have loved a few more scallops on my risotto but overall cant wait to go again. The menu does keep changing quite often so it's a bonus to keep going there and trying out what they have!!”
