“This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Boston. The quality of the food, the innovativeness of the chef, and above all the service! The staff are super friendly and efficient! The drinks are to die for (I love the spicy ancho mezcal margarita). I have been going there for years and I am still surprised by their new dishes.”

“Excellent Mexican restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham. We had a party for 8 for 5 PM. Our reservation was honored and the service was great. It was extremely clean and nice inside. Parking was pretty easy. Ample street parking there is a free lot around the corner. The drinks were very flavorful and pretty strong 😉. The food was excellent as well.”

“Service was a little bit slow, but the food was good! My friends and I got the fried plantains, Brussels sprouts, and the Taco Tuesday special! Their horchata is also very good! If I ever come back, I want to try the cucumber sparkling lemonade and the octopus tacos”

“Assumed it was a higher end restaurant based on the pictures and reviews, but ended up being pretty average - which was unfortunately. Great location by the corner of Moody street with wonderful staff that make you feel comfortably at home. The main dishes were good, but could have been elevated further with some additional seasoning. Possibly try something out of their wheelhouse to rejuvenate their menu a bit and make them stand out. The chips for the appetizer were too hard, and uncomfortable to eat. But the flavors in the salsa and guac were definitely there! Overall, a good experience.”

“I drove over an hour to meet friends at this restaurant specifically because I found it on Find Me Gluten Free and it was listed as a dedicated gluten-free restaurant/kitchen. As someone with celiac disease, that matters a lot. Celiac is a serious autoimmune disease, not a preference or intolerance, and dedicated gluten-free kitchens are extremely rare and usually represent the highest level of safety for people like me. Because of that, I was beyond excited to eat here and felt reassured ordering from what I believed was a fully gluten-free, cross-contamination-safe restaurant. I also specifically told our server that I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten. The server reassured me that the entire kitchen, including the fryers, was entirely gluten free. Based on that, of course I assumed the tortilla chips were made safely in-house or came from the dedicated gluten-free fryer. Unfortunately, on the drive home, my stomach became very queasy and I felt like I was going to throw up. I pulled over and started combing through recent reviews from other gluten-free diners. That is when I saw a review from two weeks ago stating that the tortilla chips are not made on site and that another person had reacted to them. I had the chips. This is extremely upsetting. If a restaurant markets itself as dedicated gluten-free, reassures customers that the entire kitchen and fryers are gluten free, and lists gluten-free tortilla chips on the menu, customers with celiac disease should not have to guess whether a basic item like chips is coming from an outside supplier with unknown cross-contamination risk. At minimum, this should be clearly disclosed on the menu and staff should be proactively trained to explain which items are made in-house and which are sourced externally. I understand that restaurants rely on suppliers, but for a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, transparency is essential. People with celiac disease choose places like this because we are trying to avoid getting sick. I made a long trip here because I trusted that this would be safe, and I left feeling misled, frustrated, and physically unwell. I will likely have to call out of work tomorrow because of this, which makes the experience even more upsetting.”
