“We went there for brunch on valentines day , it was easy to find and parking wasn’t bad. We sat inside since it was a little cold outside . Our orders came about 10 minutes after we ordered, so did my wife’s drink, she had a pink cocktail ( vence el amor ) it tasted good, I had a tamarind soda. When it comes to the food it tasted very good and homemade. My wife had enfrijoladas con chorizo and I had plantains with Arrachera mixta pollo y carne. It tasted great and both were really filling. I was surprised at the way they cut the plantains, it was unique and very good too. My plate came with some beans and tortillas , i had a hard time finishing the whole thing ! It was a lot !!!! We also took a tres leche to go. It was delicious! Overall we enjoyed our food, we would recommend them to have more artwork on the walls or drawings because the white paint is highlighting the fingerprints and stains .”

“This restaurant serves the delicate and exquisite intricacies of the Mexican culinary experience. Don’t expect to come here feeling heavy after a meal, it is about the taste and explosion of flavor. It is now the best Mexican restaurant in DC, in my book. Not only is it a great dining experience in a beautifully intimate space but they go above and beyond with social activism. It is a true gem. The staff goes above and beyond. Something that was not pictured was that we had an exquisite picture of the spicy margarita. A great mixologist got me a good buzz. I am a big fan from my first experience and am delighted to be going back as much as possible. As a Mexican living in DC, this has been the saving grace. I often feel that the Mexican food is not good enough in DC and this restaurant proves me wrong.”

“The food was good quality, and on par with Mexican restaurants in the district. For some reason, restaurants in the DMV always make a good branzino, and Muchas Gracias is no exception. Although I didn’t try the tres leches, it looked absolutely amazing. The hole in the wall, narrow cantina atmosphere was really cool, and created a really interesting place to eat a meal. I had the fajitas (giving them a fair 7.5/10). The best part of the dining experience was the service. Very, very attentive and understanding to our table, checking if the food was alright or if we needed any drinks, regularly coming to refill water. We did not feel forgotten.”

“The service was great, but honestly the food is mids and overpriced. We got the street corn and birria tacos - tacos were unfortunately dry and lacking in flavor. For 6 dollars a taco I expected more. Chips and corn were good but nothing insane. I feel like everything needed a little more salt. Thankfully our server was kind enough to take half off of our bill.”

“The price does not even come close to the amount of food you receive. We tried the Steak Tacos, Fried Plantains, and Mexican Corn and it was enough to fill a child. The plantain was $12 and you get one full plantain with crema and sauce, I can go to the store and buy 10 for $5 and maybe 2 packets of Crema for $12 total. As a Mexican from the west coast, the steak tacos were lacking any flavor and salsa was really strange. Also the server did not ask as if he could take our full bowl of Mexican corn and dumped it, we asked for another one to go but they just looked confused and didn’t do anything to help. Overall, a very disappointing Mexican Restaurant experience, probably the worst Mexican restaurant I been to in the whole DMV.”
