Muchacho Tex Mex Southlake is a Mexican restaurant in the Southlake neighborhood of Southlake.
“Muchacho is everything your looking for in a Mexican Restaurant. The service, wait staff, atmosphere with great Mexican music, and the authentic Mexican Food. I had the Flautas and Shrimp Tacos. And they were so tasty, like a party in your mouth. When you go ask for Dakota. He's a workaholic. He's always there with a smile and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This is definitely a place you want to put a star on your to go place in your Maps. Highly recommend it.”
“This was my first time at Muchacho and the won't be my last. From the vibe to the food and service, this was a 10 out of 10. Our waiter Dakota recommended the fried shrimp tacos 🌮 and when I say it was a hit, baby. Do not skip out on them. Mucho Excellente. We went before 6 and took advantage of the drink special. I drank my margarita rimmed with Taijain before I could snap a photo (probably because 1 drink was all it took) Make sure you check out Muchacho and ask for Dakota”
“A friend had recommended Muchacho as his go-to spot, so I decided to try it for the first time while I was in Southlake for another errand. I even waited around until their 11:00 AM opening so I could check it out. The chips and salsa were pretty good, and the Prime Brisket Hash I ordered was absolutely delicious. I don’t get to Southlake often, but I do look forward to going back and trying something else on the menu. Full disclosure: this is Tex-Mex, not authentic Mexican cuisine.”
“Muchacho has become a regular stop for us and for good reason. The food is consistently solid, and the menu has enough variety to keep things interesting, especially when you’re trying to branch out and try new dishes. Everything we’ve had has lived up to the hype, and the drinks are just as good. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, but it can definitely get busy—especially on weekends, holidays, and game days. We’ve learned that if you can catch it during slower times, the experience is even better. Overall, it’s a great spot with good food, good vibes, and one we’ll keep coming back to.”
“We had a wonderful time at Muchacho Southlake, a cozy spot in the Town Square area. I highly recommend making a reservation—they typically limit parties to 6 but were kind enough to accommodate our group. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, more of a fun night-out vibe than a quiet dinner spot. The food was fantastic, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Service from Ryan was attentive and impressively quick. I had the cornmeal redfish tacos with pickled slaw on homemade tortillas—excellent. Others ordered the pork shank, fajitas, and chile relleno with rice and beans, and every dish got great feedback. The standouts for me were the Mexican rice and the Old Fashioned—both among the best I’ve had anywhere. The rice tasted like something Abuela would serve. To top it off, Paul, the manager, stopped by to check on us, which was a really nice touch. We skipped dessert (group decision, not mine!), but overall it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.”
