Founded by James Beard semi-finalist Chef Omar Flores, Muchacho features high quality Tex Mex favorites with some Texan twists - such as brisket and smoked meats, cooked with an on-site smoker - as well as authentic, regional Mexican cuisine.
“Best octopus I have had in the states! I got it as a taco and it was fantastic. Somebody else in our group got the fajita version and it was even more amazing! The margaritas are on point! Maybe take an Uber there!”
“Holly, the GM at Muchacho, absolutely deserves five stars. You can tell she genuinely cares about the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. The place runs smoothly, the vibe is welcoming, and everything feels organized and on point, which is a direct reflection of strong leadership. The food is really good too. I got the Combo # Juan with enchiladas, plus chips and salsa, and a Shirley Temple, and everything tasted fresh and was prepared right. Holly is friendly, professional, and makes you feel taken care of without it feeling forced. It’s rare to see a GM who’s that present and consistent, and it honestly elevates the whole experience. If you’re at Muchacho, you’re in good hands with Holly running the show.”
“The BEST Fajitas I’ve ever had!! And that’s a lot coming from a Texan 😂 Rubi was so nice and she recommended the Hamachi Aguachile and it was spectacular!!”
“The meal started off really strong with the starter chips served alongside two flavorful sauces and the queso muchacho, which was rich and delicious—definitely a great way to begin. The crispy shrimp taco stood out with its perfect crunch and taste, while the tacos al carbón were also quite enjoyable and well-prepared. Overall, a satisfying experience with some solid highlights.”
“Muchacho is a good time. I went for lunch and I enjoyed my visit. First of all, the decor feels very trendy . On a beautiful day or night, the patio area is the place to be. It was very busy during the lunch rush. I started things off with a frozen Swirl Margarita. It tasted great and packed a punch. I moved on to try some of their guacamole. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. It was just “ok”. I am a big time guac lover and it just didn’t compete with some of the spots around town. So sorry Muchacho. It’s true. Now, what was tasty, were the Chicken Verde Enchiladas that I had. Again, not the best, but enjoyable . The verde sauce a little different than what I am used to . The color and the texture was not my preferred style. The rice was memorable. I love fluffy, flavor rice and that is exactly how their rice was. Overall, I would order the dish again. I did try my friend’s Combination Fajitas and they were decent. I would definitely go back to Muchacho. I must experience a cocktail on the patio. I am interested in exploring their menu. I’m not holding the guacamole against them this time. If you are looking for a trendy spot to check out, go see the folks over at Muchacho.”
