German food and drinks in a beer hall/beer garden setting. Bring a friend and taste your way through Bavaria. Prost!
“food is honestly good for a bar, German sausage, pretzel, chicken schnitzel and ... service was great and great vibe specially if you are a football fan”
“A great selection of beer and food! I got the Spaten Lager which was a light Munich lager followed by the Köstrich Schwarzbier which is a black lager. The atmosphere is also really nice and they have 50% off on lagers during Bayern Munich games so make sure to check them out!”
“Had a really nice time at Prost, it’s a simple set up and seems to always be busy but there’s always a space if you’re a small group. The beer is really well looked after and the pretzel bites are really good in happy hour. My wife had the alpine cocktail, pretty sure it’s mezcal based and absolutely delicious.”
“Nice place for a great time with friends. Beer is almost 1:1 like I'm Bavaria. The food is the American version of Bavarian food... far off. Burger - even it was good - no Bavarian food ;-) But in quality ok. Bavarian flag is not in square pattern... Sorry guys, I am from Bavaria - it looks totally different. Friedly staff - yes, we come here again... And we try other food options.”
“Prost DC has the atmosphere and the beer selection absolutely nailed. The Paulaner and Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen on tap, served in proper 1-liter Masskrug steins, is the real deal — cold, fresh and exactly what you'd expect from a proper German biergarten. Prost to that! 🍺 The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience enjoyable overall. Where it fell short was the food. The schnitzel while it looked the part with red cabbage, mashed potatoes and a grilled lemon was dry and lacked flavor. Having eaten schnitzel in other cities like Sydney where the quality was noticeably superior, this one didn't hit the mark. For a restaurant that puts so much effort into its beer program, the kitchen needs to match that same energy. Come for the beer, enjoy the vibe, but manage your expectations with the food. With some improvements in the kitchen, this place could be a true gem. Auf Deutsch für die Eigentümer: "Das Bier ist ausgezeichnet, aber das Essen braucht noch viel Arbeit!" 🇩🇪 (Para los dueños: "La cerveza es excelente, ¡pero la comida necesita mucho trabajo!")”
Never miss a table
