“My friend and I had a fantastic time at River Club! We went on a Wednesday night and it was very lively. We received immaculate and attentive service, not only from our server but from the entire staff. Several people checked on us and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The staff's teamwork shows. The ambiance is so sexy and fun! One of the chicest restaurants in the city for sure. The food and drinks were spectacular. We loved every dish. I love to try new restaurants and new dishes but I would come back and order the exact same thing! - Labneh: 9/10 I wish it was a bit creamier and I wish the pita was a little better but it was a good starter - Lamb Belly Skewer: 10/10 Very tender and moist, melt in your mouth feel. Very new & interesting flavors for me. - Branzino: 10/10 OMG. My new favorite Branzino in the city!!! The skin was so crispy and the fish was so flaky and flavorful. While it feeds 2-4, I would NOT wanna share that with more than one other person, its way too delicious hahaha - Pasta Limone: 10/10. I NEED THE RECIPE. This pasta was sooooooo good! It encased all the good qualities of lemon. We did no meat but I have to come back & try it with the lobster. - I can't remember the name of our drinks but they were both soooo good. The strawberry arak drink had the most refreshing and fresh strawberry flavor. The tequila egg white drink was very balanced and light. Overall 10's across the board. Plus they had matchbooks! Can't wait to come back!”
“Went out with friends last night to celebrate a birthday at River Club and had an incredible experience. The decor and overall atmosphere are stunning & the space has such a unique vibe that really sets the tone for a special night out. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server gave us some Solid recommendations, and every dish impressed us. The lamb shoulder and the branzino were true showpieces for sure. I would say beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were just as memorable. You can tell a lot of care goes into the bar program, because every drink was balanced and flavorful. The manager/host Carlos was welcoming and attentive, which made the celebration feel even more personal. We left already talking about our next visit. Can’t wait to come back!!”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ River Club – Georgetown I had an excellent experience at River Club. The food was outstanding, with beautiful presentation and dishes that were clearly prepared with dedication and full of flavor. Every plate looked amazing and tasted even better. The service was great from start to finish—attentive, professional, and welcoming. The bartender was phenomenal, crafting exceptional drinks that truly elevated the experience. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, amazing drinks, and top-notch service. Highly recommend!”
“I saw a brunch post for River Club DC on IG and wanted to try, so was very excited to get an email from Tasting Collective for a tasting dinner. It's dry January, so I was excited to see mocktails and non-alcoholic beer and wine on the drink menu. The first course, which I forgot to take a picture of, was Gnocco Fritto, which was a tuna tartar on top of a vegan "mayo". This was a delicious way to start the meal. The next course for most was a lamb arancino, but as a pescetarian, I received a roasted carrot tartar. This was good, but not a good follow to the first course. The chip served with it was bland and added nothing to the dish. Everyone around me loved the lamb arancino saying the lamb was tender and well seasoned. The 3rd course was a marinated burrata, which tasted like a deconstructed pizza and had these delicious Jimmy nardello peppers. This was a pretty large course however, it was one you kept going back for. The 4th course was a slow smoked lamb shoulder and I was served a lobster risotto. Most didn't like the lamb stating it was tough and didn't believe it was slow roasted. The risotto was FULL of lobster. The rice itself wasn't creamy as it should have been. The "creaminess" came from the sauce which was overpowering and a tad salty. The final course was a Basque cheesecake. As a cheese lover, I actually love Basque cheese, so I was excited to try this dessert. To my dismay, it wasn't made with Basque cheese at all. It reached the table and half of it melted and it wasn't good at all. I like Mediterranean food, so I would try it again if down Georgetown, but I don't have the same excitement as when I saw the IG reel.”
“We went for brunch on Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was at 2pm. Things started off well, the host was very friendly and welcoming, the ambiance of the restaurant was great. I was excited and looking forward to trying out this restaurant. Sadly, that is where the good part of this review ends. I wanted to order from the Prix Fixe menu because I had only had coffee before that, my boyfriend however, had eaten something in the morning so he wasn’t as hungry. The waiter said for the Prix Fixe menu, everyone at the table had to participate. So I decided against doing the Prix Fixe, and opting to only get an entree and dessert. Our waiters attitude changed at that point, he was still friendly but pretty much ignored and neglected us. Our drinks didn’t come for at least 15 minutes. Our water was never refilled and we were there for close to 2 hours. Most of our time was spent waiting. The food came 10-15 minutes after the drinks, after that, we saw our waiter serving other tables and barely paying us any mind. About 15 minutes after our plates were cleared, we were kindly offered dessert menus by another waiter, we then waited another 15 minutes or more for our waiter. By the time he came to our table we had decided enough of the waiting, and we needed to pay and leave. The picture attached is of the only food we ate here, we both ordered the $39 NY strip steak and 2 eggs, this is how it comes, no sides, nothing else with it. I left hungry and very disappointed because we were excited to try this restaurant, especially after the good reviews here, but honestly our experience yesterday did not live up to the hype.”
