Sfoglina (sfoal-yee-nah) is Fabio Trabocchi’s ode to the Italian Dolce Vita and the craft of handmade pasta. It is inspired by the female pasta makers of Italy—today it’s cultural icons--who carried on the tradition and the art of making pasta by hand. The craft is showcased daily in our pasta rooms. Sfoglina serves light and seasonal salads, appetizers, shareable meat and seafood entrees, and authentic, family-favorite Italian desserts. Our charming venues feature a whimsical design and timeless Italian cocktails, approachable Italian wines, and comfy patios for al fresco dining.
“We had a special anniversary and a lovely dining experience at Sfoglina. As main courses, we had the Fabio Ravioli - goat cheese filled clouds! The kitchen altered the sauce due to lactose intolerance to a red sauce. Yum. I had the short rib stuffed agnolottis with a lovely sauce. Service was attentive, generous and friendly. On a Wednesday evening the interior was quiet and welcoming. Good experience.”
“Dined tonight during Valentine's Day weekend. We've always enjoyed dining here and tonight's dinner was no exception. They had a special prix-fixed menu for Valentine's Day priced at $98 per person. I thought this was a great deal considering how much food they serve you. My wife also got the wine pairing for $45- you get four glasses of wine, so it's a good deal. Natalia was our waitress and she was great. She was very friendly and service as usual was spot on. I opted for a la carte and got our usual Grilled Spiced Wild Calamari - still delicious and the Pappardelle. This is one of my favorite dishes here. Most of the pasta dishes here are really good, so you can't go wrong with any of those selections. For the special Valentine's Day menu, the Beef Tartare & Smoked Bone Marrow and the Roasted Lobster Fra Diavolo was definitely the highlight of the evening. The beef tartare was sitting on top of the bone marrow, and they served a really large piece of bone marrow! The Roasted Lobster Fra Diavolo needs to be on the regular menu- it was that good. The lobster tasted like it was cooked sous-vide because it was so light and tender. This dish also came with Key West Shrimp. The Squid Ink Tagliatelle pasta was al dente - just perfect. There is a parking garage underneath the building. They do provide parking validation.”
“Great atmosphere with classy, interesting touches like vintage pasta making tools, abstract chandelier, eating nooks including a pretty cute private room for parties. We sat on the covered patio in cold weather and were cozy with their heaters and garden decor (roses, spanish moss). Had the house made pasta special with wild mushrooms, fresh herbs and cheese. Tried a bite of my husband's gnocchi bowl and it was deep with flavor. Slightly expensive but worth it.”
“We had a wonderful experience! Sat at the bar and had the Shrimp scampi and white bean hummus appetizers, which were great. The happy hour super Tuscan is a great red. The chicken Parm is super tasty and the Shishido peppers are a great side. Only disappointment was the meatball appetizer which was flat. Special shout out to Justin at the bar. He's great!”
“It’s all about la Dolce Vita / Italian stereotypes. Ample space, open kitchen, good service. They make their own pasta which is always a plus in my book The cacio e peppe was well executed. The cappuccino was tasty.”
