“Brought my wife in for her birthday, we’d never visited Covey before but heard great things. The dining room gets quite loud but luckily we were out right before the rush. The staff is great, our server was Amani and she made us feel like as if we were eating with family, all of her recommendations hit the spot. I ordered the pork chop and my wife got the lamb shank, both were great. It’s definitely a paced and quality focused restaurant so if you’re in a rush it’s not the place for you. If we lived in state, we’d be back all the time!”
“Covey was absolutely amazing! Fine dining that is unique and tasty is hard to come by in this town. We ordered 2 additional biscuit servings after the first because they were just too good. We got the octopus, tuna tartare, and endive salad for apps. Octopus was phenomenal and the endive salad was like something I’ve never tasted. The tuna tartare was good, but they serving was quite small and the rice seaweed chips they gave with it were interesting at first, but after a few kind of tasted like nothing and didn’t really do anything for the tartare. We had the duck and gnudi for our entrees. The duck was cooked to perfection. The gnudi blew us away, tender meat and dumplings that melted in your mouth in a yummy broth. Drinks were great as well and the bartender Allison was awesome! Will definitely be returning.”
“The meal was exceptional from start to finish. I ordered the duck, which was beautifully prepared, tender, and rich with flavor in every bite. My husband had the fried chicken, perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining incredibly juicy inside. Both dishes were thoughtfully executed and left a lasting impression. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We will absolutely be back.”
“The restaurant is really nice, service was impeccable, both steaks were fantastic. The dumpling appetizer which was actually more like two tiny donuts was tasteless and pointless for $20 bucks and the greens that came with the steaks wasn't very good. Overall a very nice dining experience.”
“We went to Covey Saturday night for the first time. The restaurant was very busy. Parking is definitely an issue. We had to park on the street which is not well lit and walk a considerable distance, a bit inconvenient for three seniors. We had reservations and they were mostly on time seating us. We were seated in the busy, noisy bar area at a large corner booth. The advertised biscuits arrived but they were dry tasting. We ordered a crab dip appetizer which we all agreed was too fishy and salty. One person had the fish of the day, grouper, which they enjoyed very much. Another had the lobster and mussels in broth which was also greatly enjoyed. The third of our party had the shrimp and grits which was described as too salty with a surprisingly minimal serving of grits. The shrimp were adequate but plain. The maple cheesecake, however, was wonderful. The service was attentive and pleasant. Overall, a good experience though the food was slightly under whelming. We will go again to try other dishes .”
