“From the moment we stepped inside it was clear the experience was going to be quite something. Great vibe, outstanding wines and wonderful food. Personal choice - steamed sablefish is not my favourite preparation. However the rest of the experience was above and beyond. Outstanding service. Extraordinary eye for detail. Will be back.”
“First visit after the renovation and the interior has become so beautiful! The menu changes regularly and all four dishes we ordered this time were very delicious with pretty presentation. Although we visited on a weekend the restaurant was nearly empty so we had a great time chatting and enjoying the food. Will definitely come back soon!”
“The area isn’t the most appealing, but I appreciate the small, local charm of this restaurant. They have a nice patio, and the dining room itself feels intimate, with a clear view of the kitchen across the space. The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They also offer thoughtful recommendations when it comes to their wine selection. We had the tasting menu, which had good portions and got pretty full by the end of the meal. The dishes leaned on Asian influences, with ingredients like gochujang and soba noodles. The menu started off strong: the caramelised eggplant was nice, and I liked the cauliflower with the blue cheese sauce. The pork belly was crisp and well-prepared, but the richness of the fat can get overwhelming. It was served with potatoes which unfortunately weren’t the most pleasant to eat, since they tended to crumble apart rather than hold together with a creamy texture.”
“Came here for a dine out in a group of 6. Plenty of space, not being crammed into a small space. The food was good & portion was generous, and the staff was bery friendly & had good knowledge when recommending sake pairing & dishes served. The food definitely had a lot of Asian style fused into each dish, especially Korean. Each dish reminded me of Korean dishes that we've had before, so it wasnt really too new for us, compared to how non-Korean may see it. The prawn risotto was just on point, and the sesame cake was also surprisingly delicious. The raw beef was also very similar to one of common Korean dishes (육회). I would love to come back try their individual dish again outside of dine-out times.”
“Large assortment of wine, and saki to choose from…but I felt like a cocktail instead which was made well with an impressively clear ice cube shaped as a long rectangle that floated vertically in the highball glass. I didn’t feel the pork belly hit the mark (as it tasted like dry HK-style roasted pork), but everything else was good. Especially liked dipping the bread into the dip that came with the peppers. Service was really good and this place has good atmosphere. More like a wine/saki bar with food available to have with your drink.”
