Deer Valley is designed to be different, an experience tailored to be as unique as each one of our guests. Deer Valley limits the number of skiers on the mountain each day and regularly sells out of lesson products. We encourage you to purchase your lift tickets, lodging, ski lesson and rental products in advance. Not only is this important to find the best availability for the items that you want, but advance purchase also offers the highest savings. Make your arrival experience easier by guaranteeing your spot on the mountain and in lessons.
“Was fortunate enough to be able to ski at this resort and I’m so very glad I did - it was amazing! All aspects of the resort were top notch! Getting rentals was a quick and informative process, the gear itself was great quality, and the ability to valet the skis and boots on site was a really nice touch. The lifts were in great condition, the lift operators were nice and helpful, and the ski slopes themselves were all better than expected! Overall the food and beverage options were varied and all good. Seating was easy if you were patient and the views from the patio seating was well thought out. Only negative comment around food is that it was slightly over priced. Would love to come back and spend some time skiing again!”
“Deer Valley consistently delivers a top-tier ski experience. The grooming is exceptional, the mountain layout is intuitive, and lift lines remain refreshingly manageable, even during peak periods. The skiers-only policy creates a noticeably calmer, more controlled environment on the slopes, which makes a real difference. Service is where Deer Valley truly stands out. From lift operators to on-mountain staff, everyone is professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The lodges and dining options are well maintained and thoughtfully run, providing a comfortable break without feeling overcrowded. Yes, it’s a premium resort with premium pricing, but the overall experience justifies the cost. If you’re looking for a refined, well-run ski resort that prioritizes quality, service, and mountain conditions, Deer Valley is hard to beat.”
“We're from Utah so we've skied every resort in the area. So many great ones. But when we landed in Deer Valley we fell in love with it all. The mountain is fantastic for all levels. The services are first class. Food is fantastic. Apres Ski great fun! Don't miss this one if coming to Utah.”
“We recently spent a long weekend at Deer Valley Ski Resort, and overall, our family had an absolutely wonderful experience on the slopes. The resort is beautifully maintained, with impeccably groomed runs and stunning mountain scenery. We all genuinely enjoyed skiing there — from the more advanced trails to the intermediate runs, there was something for everyone, and the ski conditions on the main slopes were fantastic. The lift system was efficient, and the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, and always welcoming, which made getting around the mountain smooth and stress-free. That said, one area where we felt Deer Valley could improve was the beginner learning zones. Unfortunately, the lack of conveyor belts in these areas, which we believe was due to less snow, made it harder for our youngest and least experienced skier to practice comfortably. For families like ours, this was a bit of a frustration because private lessons are quite pricey here. While we completely understand that snow conditions can be unpredictable, having accessible beginner lifts is such a key part of a positive learning experience, and it felt like something of a miss this time. Even with this drawback, we still left the resort with very happy memories. The ski runs themselves were excellent, the views were breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere was top-notch. It’s clear that Deer Valley prioritizes quality, both in terms of terrain and guest experience, and we appreciated the attention to detail throughout the resort. For anyone comfortable on the slopes, Deer Valley is a fantastic destination just be mindful if you’re bringing beginners, as they may face some challenges without easy access to conveyor lifts. Overall, despite the learning area limitations, we had a fantastic ski trip and would recommend Deer Valley to families and experienced skiers alike it truly is a gem in the Utah mountains.”
“Deer Valley the East Village is a midtown Manhattan construction danger zone. Between the cranes, cement mixers and dump trucks the ambiance of a ski resort is lost. There is no signage regarding where to get dropped off for the East Village Gondola and if you are not careful one of the many construction trucks might clip your fender. I can’t even imagine paying $750 a night to listen to the construction. And BTW Deer Valley has restrictions on using an IKON Session pass. We bought a two day pass and it was vetoed. The days of Deer Valley and Stein Erickson are long gone. I would not ski here for several years and by then I am sure the crowds will replace the construction. We skied the Canyons side of Park City yesterday and that was the way skiing should be. Granted Utah needs snow. Never saw it so lacking in snow. Yet I can’t fault Mother Nature.”
