We encourage guests to join us as walk-ins and look forward to welcoming you! * * * * * * * * * * High West Distillery was founded in 2006 by David Perkins and his wife, Jane. David, a former biochemist, was inspired to open his own distillery after seeing the parallels between the fermentation and distilling process and his own work in biochemistry during a trip to a whiskey distillery in Kentucky. In 2004, David and his family relocated to Park City, Utah to begin their new venture, where they began distilling in 2007. They chose Park City because of David’s love of the Old West and Utah’s little-known whiskey history. High West began with humble roots, opening a small, 250-gallon still and Saloon in an historic livery stable and garage. What was once a small operation in downtown Park City has grown to be an internationally-recognized, award winning brand The word Saloon comes from the French word “Salon” which means “large room.” As America expanded West and founded new towns, a saloon was often the first place in town to open up. At its simplest, it was a tent with a plank slapped across the top of two whiskey barrels, but it soon became the social epicenter of each new town. Located at the bottom of Park City Resort's Quittin’ Time ski run and next to the Town Lift, High West Saloon is the world’s first and only ski-in gastro-distillery. You can find High West at 703 Park Avenue in Old Town Park City, just one block off historic Main Street.
“The place was packed to the gills and after our meal, I understood why! The drinks were great and I loved the High West gin. We sat at the bar and the service was great. Drinks and food were in front of us shortly after ordering. The burger and tacos were too notch. Great vibe all around!”
“A top-notch establishment. They often have quite a wait so make sure you get there early to put your name on the list, feel free to hang outside and have a delicious old-fashioned while you wait. The menu is super simple, but they do everything extremely well. The schnitzel was perfectly light yet crispy and salty! It paired incredibly well with the al Dante Spoetzl. Will definitely be back on my next visit.”
“Cool place to grab drinks and lunch. Food menu is great with a few good options. I was impressed with the amount of wings you get in the appetizer. Typically for an appetizer in use to just getting 6 wings in an orderbut they give you more which was a pleasant surprise. Flavor was great so no complaints. We order the pasta and tacos. Again great flavors in both and very happy with portions. Drinks were also amazing. We tried the flight and I got a drink featuring their gin. Service was great and loved the vibe of the place. We got there pretty early as they sat us right away. When we left, the place was really full and lots of people at the outside tables. Get there early or make a reservation. Don't forget to visit the gift shop. We had to get a few things to remember the experience.”
“We stopped in for food and drinks after our drive through Guardsman Pass. Friday lunch was an average busy with a 20 min wait. Greeted by the hostess Kiera with a smile and kind welcome. We were able to be seated sooner with seats at the bar. Where Josh immediately welcomed up. Drinks were prepared quickly and very professionally. I had the High West Lemonade while my husband enjoyed a IPA. Food came out quickly and was delicious. LOVE the fries. We had a burger and Tacos.”
“We really enjoyed the outdoor seating, bring jacket, it's cold in shade almost any time of year. Delicious food and fun vibe, u must be 21 to enter and as all Utah bars, must have picture ID.”
