“I cannot recommend Desh enough whether a small group or a large party in the function room upstairs. We celebrated a 70th birthday with 38 guests in the function room and we could not fault one thing. The organisation of Charlotte and the Team was second to none and we worked together to plan the event. It was a joy to plan. Given the amount of guests we had, the food was served hot and delicious and everyone enjoyed the experience immensely. The nicely priced 2 or 3 course set party menu (ordered in advance) hosts an extensive list of their regular menu favourites including, amongst other things, the wonderful chocolate samosa dessert. Our price per head included the drinks bill, but having the bar means guests could pay for their own drinks if you so choose. The function room also has its own toilets which gives flexibility to everyone. There is a Sonos speaker system that you can stream your own music if required. We loved the experience of having our party at Desh would highly recommend to anyone.”

“I visited Desh for the first time this afternoon for a work lunch with my colleagues. Honestly, it was amazing! The ambience, the hostess, food and vibe was perfect! I ordered a lamb wrap with masala chips and a ginger beer from the lunch menu which is great value. I'm not that local but I'll make a conscious effort to come back with my family.”

“I’d heard great things about Desh, so I decided to give it a try, while working in the area. I started with the bowl of poppadoms, which came with some truly wonderful sauces. I then ordered the lamb chops with Pilau rice, and the chops also came with a lovely sauce. The food was excellent. What made the visit even better was Stacey, who was kind and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She was extremely helpful throughout. Highly recommend Desh — and please say hello to Stacey!”

“Lovely find in Kent especially for a great Indian restaurant. We were quite hungry and ordered a bit too many (or we thought) for lunch and every dish hit the spot and we ended up finishing everything. The highlight was the grill mix and in particular the roast chicken was melt in your moth tender and flavourful. The service was nice without being overbearing. Slight caveat was the acoustics in the room where you can hear everything from all sides of the room. Overall a nice experience and we look forward to returning to try more dishes.”
