“I can’t believe I haven’t shared the love for this spot yet. The food is delicious, but the hospitality is where it’s at for me. After years of frequenting the restaurant, I’ve noticed they hold on to the same core staff and they recognize me and my husband and treat us like family. The food is excellent. I’m kinda shocked at some of the inane negative reviews — of course Mexican food is corn-forward. The salsas are definitely not canned and whoever said that needs to get their taste buds checked. Their passion for mezcal is contagious and their selection of bottles is probably the best in the state, if not the region. They’re generous with the sample pours if you’re engaged with their work and a friendly guest. I would love to see the nopales back on the menu and to try more specials. I know sometimes it’s not possible on top of the regular prep work, but I’ve made my way through the whole menu already and I’m just eager to taste more.”

“Phenomenal & Authentic Gourmet Mexican Cuisine. Dolores is a true gem for delicious Mexican food. Very rare to find this level of quality on the Easy Coast no less. The ambiance is charming and the atmosphere is unpretentiously hip. They draw in a good crowd and have a fantastic late night menu to boot. A Must 👌”

“Food was amazing, and the waiter was so nice and friendly. We ordered guacamole with chips, quesadillas, and tacos and they were so good and perfect for 2. Also ordered mocktails too and it was great!! Would love to come again, and try other menus too. Thank you for such a great dinner place!”

“This is a nice corner restaurant a short walk from Brown and from downtown Providence, where we were staying overnight. We arrived at 5 to a very empty restaurant, only one other table. We started with the guacamole, which was good, very oniony. We had a margarita and glasses of wine, all reasonably priced. The mole sauces were good; the tacos were small and good, but not the best we’ve had. The black beans on the side were good, the rice was a little dry. The enchiladas mole had a warm spice that was hotter as you kept eating it. The ribeye mole was an amazing chololaty delicious sauce. The low service rating is a result of arriving at 5pm and not finishing our meal until 7pm. We waited a long time for our entrees.”

“I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but I didn’t really love the food or the atmosphere. The service and wait times were good. The space was quite loud, which made it hard to have an easy conversation with the person across from me. Overall, it was okay, but I don’t think I’d choose to go back.”
