“I usually keep this one to myself, but Dunning is a gem I discovered back in ~ 2006, when Paso Robles was still a bit sleepy—known mostly for Zins and just starting to make waves with Rhône's. Their Reserve Zin was excellent, but the Cabernet was the star of that week’s tastings around the Willow Creek District. I joined the club then and never looked back; other memberships have come and gone, but Dunning’s quality and value always brings us back. Make the trip to the heart of Willow Creek District to meet the Dunnings and taste not only the wine, but a slice of what old Paso was—and still is. And don’t forget the Chardonnay. Yum!”
