“Looking for a brewery to include in your daily itinerary? Eastbound is a great option: a microbrewery with good service, a great event space to welcome customers daily, and a great menu of Mexican food. Speaking of service, the place offers good service from beginning to end, with the staff always attentive to orders and to whether customers are satisfied. Menu: the place has a very diverse menu of dishes to share, appetizers, snacks, drinks and of course beers. The prices are not high and are within the standards for the region and for the current times. The dishes are very well served and very tasty. The beers are produced on-site, so each visit may include a different beer, since there is a rotation. In addition to the beer selection on-site, it is also possible to shop at their store and take your favorites home. ♿️Speaking of accessibility: the brewery has excellent space for wheelchair users or customers with reduced mobility, with doors featuring an automatic opening system, adapted bathrooms with grab bars and ample space, and level flooring. Unfortunately, they don't have a menu in Braille, but the staff is always willing to assist customers. 🧑🧒For those with children: the place has a children's menu, soft drinks and water, and some electronic games. 🅿️Note: they don't have their own parking, but there are several private parking lots in the area, and it's also next to bus and streetcar lines. I highly recommend it, especially to support local businesses.”
“I recently held a surprise birthday party for my wife at Eastbound for about 35 people. Right from my first contact with Tara she has been responsive, communicative and helpful. She helped me plan the menu and accommodated vegetarians and gluten-free guests. The food was great, the venue was welcoming and the staff were wonderful. If you are looking for a venue for a special event, I highly recommend Eastbound. They have wonderful beer, as well as a full service bar.”
“I've been to Eastbound a few times now, and each time ive been thoroughly impressed with the food & the friendly service. The staff are unbelievably friendly & attentive. The kitchen is consistently hitting all the marks on the food from presentation to flavour and beyond. I highly recommend their brunch service on the weekends. Its honestly under the radar right now for Toronto's queen east breakfast/brunch spots. Go there and get the Huevos Rancheros Benny and tell me that isnt one of the best Benny's you've ever had.”
“Popped in here this past Tuesday for a bite and a drink before seeing a show at The Opera House. Our server was super friendly and explained the menus well. We ended up, my partner and I, getting wings for the Thursday special, they do $10 pound of wings and $10 32oz pitcher of beer. I got the gochujang honey butter wings and they were awesome. My partner for the loaded wing nachos. Won’t lie they were a bit dry and could benefit from more sauce, feels like they were overcooked. The special also had a pitcher of beer which was really a great deal and is more than enough for two people to have a pint and a half. We went with their house beer and it was light and refreshing, easy to drink and not too heavy. The atmosphere is lively and spacious. There were televisions playing various sports game and a great music. Overall a really great spot to have a bite and a drink. Good for large groups as they can really accommodate in the space and a great selection of beers. Nice experience!”
“Average experience, not a bad place if you are in the area. Craft brewer that also offers a rather large menu of food items, an original that we liked, a classic that was disappointing. The zucchini burger was really original and good ($18). Well executed, the breading captures a nice crunch opposed to the soft bun. On the flip side, I was really disappointed with the burger, probably the worst of the year anywhere. For $26, I got ordinary tasting meat that was also over cooked resulting in a hard and tasteless patty see picture). And you have to pay extra for some obvious trimmings like tomatoes. To be fair in this review, the fries & mayo tasted awesome. Beers are good, nothing to write home about, but they were good and their branding is well thought of, we enjoyed the beers. Overall, a pricey outing for average food and beer. Nothing wrong with the restaurant, I guess we were expecting a lot more for almost $100 of burgers and beers. Underwhelmed.”
